When baseball was 4 divisions one player hit a homerun for a
team in each division (NL East, NL West, Al East and AL
West) in the same year. Who was he? What year did this
happen? And for which 4 teams did he hit the homeruns?

How bout Kevin Youkilis? Extended his hitting streak to 21 games tonight with a double and a home run. He also has a 9 game multihit streak. Hes insane right now. And hes not even on the All Star ballot. Its a shame isn't it?

I think he should not be in the Hall of Fame as a coach, do you think he should be in the HOF as a player?

I could give you an example of this phenomenon occurring today, where Roberto Alomar, arguably one of the top 25 most "complete" position players to ever play the game is somehow being underrated in order to allow the inferior Craig Biggio to be wrongly hailed as the best secondbaseman of our generation. This claim is patently absurd, and I believe the impetus to make such claims is driven to a large degree by the bigotry and prejudice that not only infects the minds of ordinary American citizens, but most notably seems to invade the views of baseball fans as well.

I've seen good hitting teams foul off pitch after pitch lately, until they get the one they want or walk. It seems they just want to wear down the starting pitcher and get to the bullpen.

Why is it that Don Drysdale is in the Hall of fame with 209 wins when he pitched in a pitcher friendly era ( higher mounds, bigger stadiums) when guys like Morris and especially Blyleven can't get in with way more wins. Wins seem to be the "big stat" for pitchers. In my opinion after Clemens, Johnson, Maddax, Glavine..there is going to be a HUGE dry spell of starters going to the Hall of Fame, or the standards are going to drop. (Mussina, Schilling, Smoltz, Pedro are marginal Hall of Famers )
