A-rod is not just a good player, he's one of the best all time.
He has certainly not shown it in the post season yet, but his numbers speak for themselves. As a huge Yankee fan, I have been frustrated with A-rod, but I have faith that his numbers will catch up with him and the New York fans will embrace him. How many other gold glove short stops would make the change to third so effortlessly? Look at his month of April!

He is a great player,,barring an injury he will go down as one of the best. I don't watch enough of him on TV to say that he is a showoff. What constitutes a showoff? Too me Ortiz and Ramirez standing there watching their HR's is a showoff move.

Let me preface this with the fact that I am not a yankee fan, nor an A-rod fan.....

but could you explain how you believe he's a showoff? Is he NOT supposed to play baseball to the best of his ability? Seriously, what do you expect him to do? What do you want him to do?Not play, so idiots like you don't think he's a "showoff"?!

He is a showoff becasue is is a very good player. Just like Chad Johnson, Steve Smith, Kyle Petty, Jason Kidd, Tger Wood and other great athletes who we pay to watch. Nobody is paying to watch those who bearly made the roster be cocky.

He is a great player with the natural ability to play. I am from Seattle and had the opportunity watch and meet him when he first started his career. He was and is a VERY talented player and deserving of the accomplishments he achieves over his career.

He is very good, he just takes alot of heat because of the size of his contract and the fact that he plays in NY. He had some clutch hits so far this season...but it doesn't matter because the yankees won't make the playoffs.

Compare his #s against the rest of the league and you can see how good he is.
