They ARE toast, will not come back this year, and will fall to well below 20 games behind the Red Sox. They have no pitching, even WITH Roger the dodger. Mussina, Pettite, Wang, Hughes, and Clemens can't begin to compare to Schilling, Beckett, Wakefield, Dice-K, and Tavarez. Red Sox Nation can celebrate now and for the rest of the season.

the rocket hasn't come back yet, but I'd say the yanks dont have the pitching even with clemens to contend for the division. Boston is too solid up and down, (beckett, schilling, papelbon, ortiz, ramirez, etc) but I do think you red sox fans need to stop calling yourselves "red sox nation", it makes you sound like you've got a collective napoleon complex! You are not a nation, you are a group of baseball fans in between maine and florida. I'm an A's fan, and I don't like the Yanks or the Sox, but I think thats what makes me unbiased in answering this question..

Poor Yankees. Not only are the Red Sox killing them in the AL East, but they cannot even compete for the Wild Card with those tough AL Central teams (Tigers, Indians, Twins, White Sox) . Maybe next year, boys.
