I can't provide a citation, but I remember watching Bagwell duke it out a few years ago. Foul, foul, foul, foul, it just kept on going, had to be at least 12 pitches. Ultimately he struck out swinging, but wow, that was an entertaining at-bat, just for the suspense, the battle, the determination.

The longest at-bat I ahve ever seen was by me. I went 18 pitches in an all-star game, my result was a double. I ended up scoring but we lost 14-13. It was a 3-2 count, and I fouled off 13 pitches. 7 in a row.

Bottom 9th, 2 out, tied score, 1 on, June 4, 1989 at Fenway. David Wells pitching in relief after a blown save by Tom Henke, and Marty Barrett hitting. Barrett fouled off pitch and after pitch, with a 3-ball count, and saw a total of 14 pitches. He grounded out, 4-3, and unfortunately, on his way down the line, he caught a cleat and tore up his knee. Even if he hadn't, he was out easily on that finally "routine" grounder.
(The game was won in the top of the 12th, on a 2 run HR by Junior Felix, off of Dennis Lamp. Duane Wards, who had come in to start the 10th, was the pitcher of record for the win, and stayed in to pitch the bottom of the 12th as well.)

Yeah i belive this is Mark Henrys last chance and i mean there is only really 3 main eventers on SD (Orton, Christian, Sheamus) so he could be world champ Great show man Promo Me and Barca Edge are the NWA tag team champions, Some people may say we dont deserve it because Victor screwed his tag team partner... Yeah but maybe we won because im the greatest tag team competitor in history, Im starting my 4th week on yahoo and im already a 3 time tag team champion, I know how to wrestle these matches, I know how to get partners pissed at eachother, if victor and gage were fighting any other team on the roster they would still be tag team champions... Anyways so i have proven i can run through any leagues tag team division no promblem, Im not gonna lie i am the most underrated superstar in history, I could very well be Internet or Extreme champion, Yeah i just said that, give me a little bit i could be the greatest world champion... I say winning the titles at barely legal is what started my career and Mark your the only who can make that statement come true, Cheer or boo me fans it my time, Im the Rated Peep Superstar, I love to Wrestle, I love to win

I think the longest at bat I can remember seeing was Jeremy Giambi of the Oakland A's a few years ago.
It was at least four minutes. He ended up flying out to center field. This was against the White Sox.
