I have a couple of friends that have a favorite NL team and a favorite AL team. Was wondering if anyone else does, and why.

I think it is funny because the man doesn't need anymore attention brought onto him, he needs to lay low and just play baseball, not a very smart move in my opinion. Not to mention that he is married!!

They won't win the Wild Card as there are too many good teams in the AL Central and it will be very hard to catch Boston in the AL East. Are they done?

Someone says the Celtics suck and we say "no shiat, we know they suck". Not "ya but we have 16 championships and will come around in the end"
Someone says the Yankees suck and they say "ya but we have 26 championships and will pwn your a$$ in the end"

We live in the here and now, Yankee fans live in the past.

Is this really a question? Who knows, im just bored so deal with it.

Brian Cashman traded Gary Sheffield against his wishes this past off -season. Although Sheffield WAS injured last season he returned 100% healthy and ready to play. Sheffield was the last African-American player on the Yankees roster, the team now has no African-Americans (Jeter considers himself bi-racial). Sheffield along with Bernie Williams are two less right handed batters that helped the heavily left handed Yankee lineup against right handed pitchers. Sheffield's replacement Bobby Abreu will not return after this year, while Sheffield wanted to be a Yankee for the rest of his career. Sheffield is currently hitting .262, with 12 HR's, 29 RBI, 7 stolen bases, 31 walks, .376 obp, and .492 slugging with 0 errors. Abreu is hitting .228, with 2 HR's, 22 RBI, 8 stolen bases, 24 walks, .313 obp, and .289 slugging with 2 errors. Abreu has added yet another left hand bat when right handers are sorely needed.

that before? Yesterday was the first time I have seen someone actually steal home plate (not on a wild pitch or a passed ball)

The Yankess have now lost 5 in a row. They are in last place in their division, and only 2 games above the worst record in baseball..all while having the largest payroll in baseball..again.
Is the sun a litte brighter today?...the air feels so much cleaner..The girls look prettier..my clothes fit a little better...food tastes better....Rosie is off the air...MAN things are good right now.

I'd like to buy Red Sox tickets (for Fenway Park) for Father's Day. I'm not sure where the best place is to get them, and I don't really trust Craigslist or eBay. Any suggestions for online vendor sites?

As a lifer in the Red Sox Nation I can't help but feel a little guilty for not having much confidence in Wakefield even though his stats are not horrible. Do the rest of the sox fans feel this way? Did Aaron Boone (2003) kill my confidence?

When you answer, consider as a reference what would be considered great/exceptional. I'd think that, as a rule of thumb, anything below 3 is great/exceptional, whereas anything between 3 to 4 would be very good. 4 to 5 would be average, okay, good. Over 5 would be bad, poor. What do you think?
