I'd like to buy Red Sox tickets (for Fenway Park) for Father's Day. I'm not sure where the best place is to get them, and I don't really trust Craigslist or eBay. Any suggestions for online vendor sites?

I've never bought tickets on ebay, but I've seen some pretty reasonable prices on there. When you say you don't trust ebay, is it the website itself, or is it that you don't trust the individual seller? You can always look up their feedback rating to make sure they're honest.

A couple of other places are stubhub.com, or redsox.com. You probably won't find any tickets on redsox.com through the normal means, but they have a program called "Red Sox Replay" through which people sell tickets they can't use. If you use either of these sites though you will pay a lot.

One thing you should look for are people who are selling hard tickets--that is, the type of ticket you'd get from the box office. Many times when people buy tickets online nowadays, even if they are from the team's official website, the tickets are
e-mailed and printed. Some unscupulous people out there will make 100 copies of the same ticket and sell them on the internet--only the first person who presents the ticket will get in.

It is too bad that you don't trust craigslist or ebay (the craigslist I can understand) because they are the cheapest way to get tickets. You can use the other on-line sites like stubhub and ace ticket, but you will pay an arm and a leg.

I would suggest using ebay. I have used it for years and never have had a problem. Just be smart about who you buy them from. Only use people that have a track record of successful sales. You can look at the feedback that buyers have left for each seller.

Why don't you just get them off the Red Sox website? You can never go wrong with the official sites. I don't know WHY so many people are asking where to get tickets! The best place is always the official team site. The Red Sox site is the only place that you can completely trust. Other websites are just too risky. So, just go to MLB.com, then go the the team sites and click Boston. There! It's that easy!

Stubhub.com ...However if your looking for tickets for the father's day game they are gonna be really expensive because the Giants are in town and it could be the day that Bonds breaks the record.
