Jays are the better team.... Rangers have NO pitching.........

Well, you have to break it down. Because you're right, both teams are underperforming. So here we go:

Pitching- I don't even think this is close. While Roy Halladay is injured, he and Burnett are both better by far than anyone on the Rangers' staff. And then ask yourself: B.J. Ryan or Akinori Otsuka/Eric Gagne (always injured)? Ryan is hurt but he is still better than both of them. Advantage Jays

Hitting: Wow, I'm going extra breakdown because both are pretty even:
C- Rangers: Laird's numbers a bit better than Phillips
1B- Rangers: Teixeira's numbers aren't only better than Overbay, he IS better
2B- Rangers: Kinsler is pretty hot and Hill is only useful for a good batting average
3B- Blue Jays: Glaus is a good power source and the 3B position for Texas has been a merry-go-round
SS- Rangers: Even though he's struggling, I'll take Young over Clayton any day
LF- Blue Jays: I'll take a young, rising star in Lind over a decent utility player in Catalanatto
CF- Blue Jays: I like Lofton but over Wells? No way
RF- Blue Jays: Rios is better than Cruz, plain and simple
DH- Ok it's tied 4-4 and I have to choose between Frank Thomas and Sammy Sosa? Oh wait I forgot, I'm a White Sox fan and Sosa uses steroids. Thomas is still a feared hitter and Sosa is good for some HR's but he has a terrible average and hasn't been giving Texas a lot of RBI's. Advantage Jays.

Speed- Kenny Lofton 16 SB's or Blue Jays 19 SB's. Tack on Kinsler's 7 swipes and 5 more from Young, advantage Rangers.

Fielding- 44 errors from the Rangers and 34 from the Jays. Advantage Jays.

Final Score: Blue Jays 3- Rangers 1

Nice question. I think it's unfair to the Jays because they've had so many injuries. That said, I'll still pick 'em. The Rangers were made to look like fools by banking on McCarthy. The Jays look similar for the Big Hurt signing. The Rangers have no pitching, so since they are half a team I have no choice but to pick the Jays.

The Blue Jays are a better team. They have better pitching and hitting. They also play in the AL East which is moderately difficult versus the Rangers playing in the weak AL West.

Blue Jays for sure. They have better pitching (Halladay...enough said), and a better lineup. Outside of Tex and Michael Young the Rangers have a below average lineup. The starting rotation in Texas is a joke....

Rangers have the better hitting and the Blue Jays the better overall pitching, if BJ Ryan and Halliday were healthy. Overall, I would have to go with the Blue Jays with the better pitching.

Toronto Blue Jays, they playin like the Yanks right now, but they have great talent, but they aren't playing their best,
Texas is a wesk team, even with Soso, they'll need a few more bigger bats, and an improvered pitching staff 2 do better
