I'm trying to choose among some front row season tickets for a professional baseball game. I have two small children that I would bring with me. I won't be able to enjoy the game if I'm hovering over them every pitch. But I want to be close to the game but not behind the net if I can help it. Is it more dangerous to be in the section right next to the net (near the on-deck circle, looking straight ahead at the opposite foul line) or is it more dangerous to be right behind the dugouts. Is there any data on where you are most likely to get smacked by a ball at a game???

How do you handle it constructively? Of course like many fans I plan on venturing out this weekend to Cleveland to see my Tigs at "The Jake" (Jacob's Field). I will be sporting all Old English D of course head to toe. I'm just trying to prepare myself for the negativety I'm bound to face. Advice? I couldn't not show my teams pride...my boys have came a long way...now let me pray that they will at least one of the two games I have tickets to. lol They do well on the road...we'll see...Darn bullpen!! Ugh.

Are NL pitchers with a similar ERA to an AL pitcher considered inferior as they pitch at other pitchers whereas the AL pitchers have to throw at 'proper' batsmen?

Barry Bonds started taking steroids in 1999 after seeing how Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa got national acclaim during the 1998 season (and knowing full well that they were on steroids and were getting away with it).

When Barry Bonds finished the 1998 season he was 34 years old. How many career home runs did he have at that point?

I'm not a fan of either player, though I don't hate them either. But it occurred to me recently... why do so many hate Barry Bonds and don't want to see him in the Hall of Fame for alleged cheating (it hasn't been proven yet) but many, maybe even some of the same people, say Pete Rose (who finally admitted he bet on baseball and his own team) should be reinstated to baseball and elected to the HOF?

i know hes never been caught but assuming he took roids for those 5 amazing years where he hit a total of 258 HRs. now assuming he didnt take any steroids how many HRs do you think he would end up with? do you think he would have the single season record? or do you think he would be chasing aarons HR record without steroid use?

thanks for answering
