Dont get me wrong.....Im a yankee fan and i like every player on the team , but based on the way we are playing someone has got to go!No not Torre , i was thinking Bobby Abreu.....He is a great player but cant get things right at this time.I would hate to see him get traded , but i think he is the only one the yankees would be offering sometime soon.

I don't believe they need to make a trade to get to the play-offs. The offense is there and will be as good, if not better, than anyone. Wang missed all spring training and the first part of the season and Mussina has been on the DL and is just coming back. There is nothing wrong with Clemens, Pettitte, Mussina, and Wang when they are all healthy and a few games behind them. It is too early in the season for yankee fans to panic.

Yes i agree. now im not a yankees fan. im a chicago whitesox fan but i know a lot about baseball. Abreu should probably be traded if anybody at all. Th Yanks have potential it pitching that messing them up. But that will change soon with Clemens coming and Phil Hughes returing after hes completely healthy. So if they were to trade anyone it should be abreu. They should include him in a 4 man trade offer where they can get a good pitcher or 2 out of the deal.

Abreau has no value. I'd cut him. The problem isn't one that can be solved with a trade and probably won't be fixed for years. You cannot buy a championship in any sport.

The Yankees were a lot better when they had the home-grown talent - Jeter, Posada, Rivera, Bernie - and spent free agent dollers on valuable role players like Brocious.

It has seriously been one disaster after another:
Kevin Brown
Randy Johnson
Sheffield
Pavano
Wright
Abreau
Damon
Giambi

The list goes on. Developing young talent is the only way to be successful in the majors.

They should trade Philip Hughes, because Abreu's salary is too high, and lets face it, the Yankees never shy away from trading prospects.

Hughes can go to the Reds in a deal for Adam Dunn, who can play 1B, LF and in NY right field because it is so small. He'd provide a power bat in the 3 or 5 spot, and also has some speed.(7 SB for a 250 pound guy is impressive)

It's a little early to start talking trades. If the Yankees were really looking to trade someone... trade A-Rod to the Cubs for Carlos Zambrano. It reunites A-rod with Lou Pinella, which is what he whats. Yank's get the best pitcher on the free agent market, then a can sign him to BIG Yankee Money and everyone's happy.

I'm a Yankee fan and I don't think anybody should be traded right now. It's a little early to start talking about trading. Give it another month or so, and I'm sure the Yankees will be back in this. And to everyone who say trade A-Rod, they can't trade him. He has a no trade clause, so he has to give them permission and that won't happen.

There's nothing the Yankees can do that would get them to start winning, because they have no pitching, even with Clemens coming. Which isn't going to make any difference...It was a desperate move by a desperate team. Besides, the Red Sox are just a better team...Period.

If they make a trade this season they will be throwing in the towel. I would imagine that they would ask for some AAA ready prospects to help bolster their farm system, I know they have Phil Hughes, Rasner and a surprise from DeSalvo. But hey good young talent is something that you can't have enough of.

I say that you try to trade most of your aging veterans for prospects. I would try to get rid of Abreau, Posada, Damon, Matsui, Giambi, Mussina, Rivera, and Pettite. The real bad thing, is that with these players inflated salaries, they really will not be able to move them. Blame the boss for this one.

Trade??? Why not just keep buying players. Either way you can mail this season in, because its a lost cause.
