Cecil Fielder mammoth shot over the roof at the Old Tiger Stadium. I have never seen a ball hit higher or further than that.

It was a few years ago... 1991 or 92. Safeco Field (Seattle Mariners) had just opened. Ken Griffey Jr and A-Rod were batting 3/4 respectively. They were playing the Angels and Griffy comes up and launches a mammoth shot that nearly hits the Cafe in Right Field. This later becomes known as the 'Hit it Here!' Cafe after a series of NIKE commercials. Not to be outdone, A-Rod proceeds to launch a ball tot he deepest part of Center Field. Carrying over the fence a good 430 feet.

Even though both of these players are gone from Seattle, I love to watch them swing the bat. They have such effortless swings and generate so much power. A-Rod will be the next player to reach 500 HRs and WILL one day, barring injury, become the all-time HR leader. Barry 'The Head' Bonds is just be keeping the title warm until then.

Actually two in one game. Barry Bonds connected and hit a "splash landing" HR into San Francisco Bay and pitcher Shawn Estes hit a grand slam to put the Giants up 17-4 against the Montreal Expos in the 2000 season.

As a rookie in '97 Vlad hit a walk-off homer at Olympic Stadium against the Red Sox that went into the right-center bleachers. The ball looked about 10 inches off the dirt.

Bonds and Strawberry go back to back in Montreal in '99

Mickey Tenelton's 11th inning walk off hr off a support beam at the old Tiger Stadium for the Tigers against the red sox in 1992. I watched it from the front row on the right field foul line. An added bonus being that I am a life long red sox hater.

Todd Pratt winning the 1999 wild card series in the 10th inning against the Diamondbacks, or Robin Ventura's grand slam single against the Braves in the NLCS that year.

Odd with all the dramatic Piazza and Strawberry blasts I've seen at Shea

Having season tickets to the Giants I've seen many great shots by Barry but the one that sticks out in my mind the most is the homer JT snow hit to win the game and the division against the Dogers about 5 years ago. I was there and the place went ape sh*t.

Bo Jackson hitting one off the base of the scoreboard at Kaufmann (then Royals) Stadium. George Bretts retired #5 plaque is right about where the ball hit. Longest home run I've ever seen live. Its a deep drive to get the ball to the scoreboard there.

I saw the McGwire bomb that he put through the sun slots at Chase Field (formerly Bank One Ballpark) during his 71 HR year. That thing flew a mile and it seemed like it would never fall. It fell to the street below and a mob of people just flew in like a pack of vultures. It was a great HR to see.
