They don't need another hitter, if anything they would need some pitching help. With that being said, I believe it is too early in the season for the Yankees to make any moves.

The Yankees should NOT get Todd Helton.

The man is already 33 Years Old.
I don't really mind Helton...but I do mind is his salary!

Helton: (He'll be 34 this year......)
06-10:$16.6M/year, 11:$19.1M, 12:$23M
Buy Out in 2013

His HR numbers have been down just about each of the last 3-4 years. We already have Giambi on this team...why would the Yanks want a guy who would only be a DH in a year or two from now?

And why would the Yanks want to be paying a 38 Year Old DH $19+M?? And then $21+ the following year.

The Yanks are much better off going for Casey Kotchman or even Mark Tex.

But right now the Yanks problem is with the MGR.
It's not a bat or a pitcher.
Starting 5 has been very good the last month or so.

I think the Yankees should try to do something that will shake up the ballclub very well. I think the best way to do it would be a trade and if they can get Todd Helton it would help them.

Sure. I'd love to see them throw more money at a lost cause. Don't you guys get it? The yankees are the victims of a curse! The curse of Bernie Williams. Good luck with the rest of the season.

No way in hell they do this. Get another aging over payed player? Seriously the Yankees just need to wake up and realize that every franchise needs to take its lumps in order to build a solid contender.

Oh why not, then they can get Vladimir Guererro and then Ichiro and then Prince Fielder. they have almost every all star in the league! the yankees are making baseball look bad because of their money and it is not fair to other teams that they get this privelage. its a shame they cant win a game either.

The yankees have enough hitting. I repeat THE YANKEES NEED NO MORE HITTING. They need pitching I repeat THEY NEED PITCHING. pitching blows games for them thats it nothing else its all pitching and they are going to fix that with Clemens and Phil Hughes anyways.

The Yanks should try and get any big bat they can, but not giving up the little pitching they have. They need pitching ahead of offense

The Yankees need pitching, not another bat in their already overloaded lineup.
