Braves have an excellent shot this year, they have the best two pitchers in the NL Smoltz or Hudson will win the Cy Young, Chipper will start playing some games again starting tonight and he'll be in consideration for the NL MVP, Andruw will remember that this is his big time contract year then he'll put it out of his mind and put up big numbers starting about 5 June. KJ will have an on base percentage of over 400 and jones and jones will start bringing him home. Renteria will be a solid #2, Francouer will hit for.300 30hr's and 100 rbi's and that will be third best on the team. McCann will return to his form of last year. The first base platoon of whoever will be better than average. Shurhultz will find us another starter and the pen will continue to be good. Finally the mets are the only obstacle and there pitching is going to get hammered all summer.

Yes because even though they have moved a couple of times and even had some different team names other than the Braves, it's still the organization like the Giants won titles in New York before moving west as did the Dodgers who won a title while in Brooklyn. So yes the Braves should be recognized for their 3 World Series in 1914,57 and 95.

no. the Phillies just swept the braves, it's going to be a battle though between the Phillies, the Mets, and perhaps the Braves for first place in the NL east, but mostly the Phillies and the mets will have a brutal battle. the mets look great now, but with a 40 year old El Duque and old Tommy Glavine, their pitching might not hold up all year season, and the Phillies and braves can both hit, so it is going to be an exciting season in the NL east GO PHILLIES!!!

any team can win any time. all it takes is a bit of luck and a good core of players that want to win.. I love the braves but they need a little more help offensivley. chipper and andruw need to start smacking balls out the parks and the rest of the team needs to step up and start producing. pitching is ok,, smoltz and hudson are great , but thats all they really got,, hampton is always injured the the others are too young and questionable. Get another great pitcher or 2 and theyre set.... GO BRAVES !!!!!!

Good young team and Bobby Cox is a good manager in a very good organization. I don't believe they will do it this year but they will be right in the mix for years to come.

If they make the playoffs they have a shot since they are in the weaker NL.

they seem to certianly have the want and the drive, but the Mets will always beat them out in the division.
