I'm a Barry Bonds and SF Giants fan, and don't think he will break it. He will surpass the record when his total reaches 756, but what's not to say someone else in the near future will surpass it as well?

Records like that in baseball will be surpassed. Track and field records like running a 3 min. mile or sub 8 sec. 100 meter dash will be broken, because they can occur more often than a HR or stolen base record.

There's not much that can be done about it. Bonds, at some point, will break the record.

I also remember this old adage: Records are meant to be broken.

It dosent really matter. He will break the record. But because of the way he treats people, he will never be nothing more then the answer to a trivia question. And most likely will grow old with only people he pays telling him how great he was.

I want to see him do it, and I'm sure it will happen soon.
According to the ESPN survey, quite a few people want to see him break the record, and not just Giants fans.

I would much rather see him get drilled in the ankle, knee, or head and have a career ending injury than see that steroid F!#@k break a historic record.

i would love to see him break it without the steroids.. i have grown up around baseball my whole life and i use to respect him so much, but he needs to sharpen up and realize all of the things he has going for him before he screws up his life.... and career

i don't because he cheated to make himslef better. its not fair that he could just inject themselves and they could get better. yeah, steriods don't make you see the ball better, but when you hit hte ball, you can hit it harder and farther. it doesn't make it fair for the people that are trying to make themselves better naturally and its not fair for the people that set the records, the right way in the first place.
