To start with, for the guy that said nobody watches or likes the Royals - I'm a die hard Royals fan and so are most of my friends and family. I don't miss a single Royals game. I'd be watching them play Baltimore right now, but the game is delayed.

For a team to get rid of, I would say the Devil Rays. I know they have some good young talent, but nobody goes to their games still. That stadium is almost empty every night. The Royals at least average about 18,000 people per night.

In reality two teams would needed to be contracted. That said...

I'd dump the Marlins, and this is primarily to get the swine virus that walks like a man, Jeff Loria, out of the game. And I would continue to pick them off in descending order of decrepitude of the primary owner, meaning the White Sox, Royals, and Twins would be next.

For laffs, though, yes, I'd contract the Yankees, and let two or three other teams move into the NYC Metro area. Bye-bye, local media market income advantage. Also say bye-bye to the monster payroll (about which I care not) and, we can only hope, the incessant whining about said payroll (which silence would be worth far more than the proverbial gold; platinum at least).

That is a good one..If I say the Yankees..then the Red Sox have no rivalry anymore so I cant say them...
I guess I cant pick one because every team has their fan base and it wouldnt be fair to any fans to get rid of their team...

Tampa Bay. That warehouse they pass as a stadium is awful and always empty because no one goes to the games.

Good team, bad team or good or bad players on the field seems irrelevant there. Who would know or care if they left town.

I'd get rid of the New York Yankees. With their whopping and absurd payroll out of the way, it would open up a spot for another middle-of-the-pack team to have a chance at the playoffs.

the nationals.

simply because that city has gone through 3 TEAMS NOW and the last two left for other cities. washington doesn't deserve a team when it can't keep the 2 it already had.

a million. Twins 2. Any pitching ace it somewhat is obtainable (i think of Twinstripes stated Greinke?) 3. Brian Fuentes, in spite of the fact that not resigning Matt Capps could be a waste of procuring for and advertising our real prospect... yet i admire Fuentes greater useful. Plus we desire a dominant lefty.

Either the Devil Rays or the Royals - neither team is particularly competitive (ever), although there have been signs of life from the Devil Rays. KC has also shown signs of being willing to spend money to get better this year.

Tough question. I don't think there is any room to expand any further; however, I also don't think that any team is really in desperate need of being scrapped.
