How bout Kevin Youkilis? Extended his hitting streak to 21 games tonight with a double and a home run. He also has a 9 game multihit streak. Hes insane right now. And hes not even on the All Star ballot. Its a shame isn't it?

yea he should be on the ballot but there is always the write in option which is pointless but ne ways he has 40 runs which is awesome but only has 8 hr that is what is holding him down he needs to bring some power up there and the 30 rbis is just mediocre but i do give you props for pointing him out and he should get some recognition but he is almost well he is out shined by manny and papi and of course dice-k.
ok so basically he is 4th in avg in the AL
4th in runs scored in the AL and
the homeruns are 3 behind 5th in the AL
RBI's hes a little bit behind the league leader has 48(MAGGS)
so yes he is making some noise now with this hit streak which i checked out and the hits are just flowing in there it seems like he can't get less than 2 hits haha

I love the guy, he plays the game the right way. Its a shame that with the NL hosting the all-star game this year he got left off the ballot. I think Leyland will pick him as reserve though, so it won't really matter. I think the All-star game should always use the DH so this sort of thing doesn't happen. Its an exhibition game and the pitchers will most likely never see an at bat anyway. This is just another thing that makes me mad at the way the all-star game is handled.

Yooooouk is on fire right now! This is not new though. To the guy above, you do not have to "hit homeruns" to be considered an all-star or best first basemen. He is playing stellar defense and is ranked pretty high with the league leaders. Not only can he play first, he can also play third and the outfield when needed. The guy is a rock and plays the game the right way with grit and determination. Honestly, Papi has not been great this year. I would say Youk deserves it more than him, but like other stars who have down years, Papi will get in, because of his name.
