You must be kidding. Carlos Guillen 317-14-69 is one of the best shortstops in the game, both offensively and defensively. Any team would love to have him.

I am assuming you mean a new shortstop so Guillen can be either a first basemen or DH to lengthen his career with the Tigers. He's had some knee and leg injuries that have slowed him down defensively.
Offensivly he's awesome. Defense has slipped. To answer your question...yes but not to replace Guillen but to allow him to play elsewhere with the Tigers ---- and not right now but maybe in a few years.

Definitely not! Carlos Guillen is nasty, has been nasty, and will be nasty for a few more years to come. He is one of the 5 best offensive shortstops in the league. The only upgrades they could get at short aren'e going anywhere any time soon. What upgrade could they get?
