Well, I am a huge Yankee fan and have been for years. Unfortunately, I don't see a division title this years and have my doubts about a wild card.
The right now are 9 back of Boston and 8 back of the wild card.
They have too many holes right now that need addressed.
We only have one consistant starter this year in Wang.
We still have problems getting the game from that starter to Rivera. Proctor and Farnsworth are stilol too inconsistant.
We have a DH right now in Damon who can't hit homeruns nor pretty much anything right now with his sub .250 batting average.
Get Torre a consistent setup man, a DH who can hit, and another reliable starter then it will be close, maybe 2-3 games back of Boston.
However, leave everything as is, and it think we will end only a few games over .500 pretty much wasting one of the best years ever by A-Rod.

Well seeing as I don't know how the Yankees or Red Sox will look next year I can't really predict that far into the future. I can only assume you meant 2008 because if you meant 2007 you are either delusional or a moron.

Clemons, Wang, Mussina, Pettite, and Hughes (hopefully), and there lineup. If they get hot all at once, this team could go on a very very scary streak. My guess is they win the division by 2 games, as I think the Red Sox have many issues of thier own. (bullpen and Manny not being Manny)

I think, probably -12. They will definitely be ahead by at least minus 12 games when the season is done.
The Yankees then will be crowned AL East runner up to the runner up and you will all celebrate mediocrity. Yay,
That's only 2.5 million dollars per win, t'is a bargain.
