in baseball. Papelbon is much more annoying than Closers Jose Valverde and Fransisco Rodriguez.

What are your thoughts on the moronic, country bumpkin Jonathan Papelbon?

away from 1992-1999. From 1983-1991, he was dominant and well on his was to being a Hall of Famer, till he did too much coke, booze, beating on women, etc. Straw ended his 17 year career in 1999, and had, 1,401 hits, 335 HR's, 1,000 RBI's and .259 BA

He had 280 HR's his first 9 seasons from 1983-1991 and only 55 his last 8 seasons from 1992-1999. And had 832 RBI's his first 9 seasons and only 168 RBI's his last 8 seasons. He averaged 31 HR's his first 9 seasons and 92 RBI's. If he continued those averages until he retired, he would've wound up with 527 HR's and 1,564 RBI's. What a shame. Such a sweet swing he had.

He strikes out a lot but has been a power hitter and leads the team in homeruns. With this he will make more than Griffey, Jr.

Look at his stats from this year 20-7 3.27 era 40 walks 194 strikeouts in 200.2 innings..then this post season was incredible 4-0 1.20 era he had a shutout and a complete game....with only 2 walks and 35 strikeouts in 30 innings and 1 of those walks he was hitting the corner but the ump was an idiot....you would think he would've had more walks just by accident...he should have received the cy young after game 5 of the LCS

I need to know fast, well within a day or two. I can't be bothered looking myself so I need to ask. I am talking about as of the season just gone, not like "Boston wasn't in the world series for x-amount of years from 1901-1955, but got there and lost the series 4-3", thats in the past. No "look up google, ask .... If you do that it just shows that you are weak. A webpage showing me would be good but I can soon look it up

Greetings my friends. I think Scott Boras has made the worst impact to the MLB credibility, year by year he promess to mlb top stars and new comers juicy contracts putting them in a hard situation and making the players think just in their $$$$ contracts instead the ball game, I really believe that Boras is more concerned to improve his fortune than help the players.

just gimme a star if you think that I am rite, and if you dont please give me your point of view on Boras case.

Even winning the World Series is NOT enough to get the Sox out of the Yankees shadow. YOU WIN A WORLD SERIES AND THE MEDIA IS DOMINATED WITH YANKEE TALK. That my friends is a FACT...

No matter WHAT, the Yankees will ALWAYS be one step ahead of the Sox. I'm not saying I'm not pleased the Yankees did not win the world series but the satisfaction I get from every Red Sox fan complaint of no respect for their WS victory & constant coverage Yankees get is priceless.

Just another way the Yankees are superior & I never saw this one coming. It is not as good as the Yanks winning it all but a victory nonetheless.

I don't care how you spin it Sox fans - this is fact. Your lying if you say the Yankees being a bigger story after your WS win is not demoralizing.

Or moments, if you have more than one. Mine:

1. King Felix's 1 hit CG shutout at Fenway, upstaging Dice-K's home debut.

2. Griffey's return to Seattle, and him saying he wanted to retire a Mariner!

My team didn't make it to the playoffs :(...

In 1906, the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Cubs faced off in the World Series with the White Sox winning the World Series. Although the White Sox and the Cubs have not played each other since, it is possible to see at Crosstown World Series between the North Side Chicago Cubs and the South Side Chicago White Sox.

If the Chicago White Sox played the Chicago Cubs in the World Series, would you try to purchase tickets for the games? Why or why not? And do you believe it would be worth purchasing tickets for a Crosstown World Series?
