Didn't Jacoby Ellsbury have a better average with .438 vs. Lowell's .400? Question from a casual baseball fan. Thanks.

I am not a Rockies fan but this guy has always been consistent, not huge numbers like A-Rod though...
I know he would have made it a better question if the Rockies had beat the Red Sox, but other than the obvious WS ring answer, what does Helton need to do to make it to the HOF? Or does he have no chance unless he wins a WS ring?

Will this decision likely drive Mattingly away from the Yankees? Or are do you think he will likely stay on as bench coach?

Dude All i got to say is thank goodness baseball is over, I missed The Simpsons and Family Guy because of the World Series. Baseball is so boring to watch, pretty fun to play, but again very boring. The only reason I think people go to games is to get drunk, and the tickets are cheap compared to a NFL game. I am so glad baseball is over, I hope they go on strike like hockey did one season, that was real nice. Also I hope soccer goes on strike too, I know soccer is the most famous sport in the world, but thats because all you need is a ball, alot of countries are broke, they can't afford all that gear, so thats why it's popular. Anyways,an other reason i'm mad is because they didn't have a Sunday Night Football game as well on, just because of the World Series. Trust me, i'm pretty sure alot of people would have watched football instead of the Red Sox sweeping the sorry Rockies. Thats just my opinion, please tell me I have people siding with me????

If you look at my previous questions, you would see I was annoyed by the weird background noises (very kazoo-like). The sports announcers did pretty good but something was seriously lacking...can't quite place my thumb on it. I think they should do simutaneous camera angles for the pitching and hitting. Just wasn't very satisfied with the overall Fox broadcast...

i think the giants because they need someone to put fans in the seats without bonds. the giants are one of the most boring teams with bonds, imagine without him. uhhgg

also where do you think bonds will go?
what if only bad teams like kansas city want him?
would he go play for a team with no shot at a title?

Here's a guy who did squat since coming over at the deadline. Everytime he was out there he got smoked (did he even pitch in the post season?) and rode the pine all the way to a title. I think his only contribution was keeping the beat on the bullpen ceiling. Do you known of a bigger mid-season trade bust to get a free ride to a championship?

Report: Yankees Offer Manager Job To Joe Girardi
NEW YORK (CBS) ― The Yankees may have their new manager.

The team has offered their managerial job to former Yankee catcher Joe Girardi, and he is expected to accept it, according to a report on ESPN Radio.

Also in the report, Yankees general manager Brian Cashman informed coaches Don Mattingly and Tony Pena that they will not be getting the job.

A source said Girardi is expected to fly to New York for the official announcement, which is likely tomorrow.

Girardi's contract is expected to be in the three-year, $6 million range.

Has anybody heard this??? Do you agree with the decison?

Ok, if ARod opts out, he's # 1. I also know Lowell is a free agent, as is Aaron Rowand... but i don't know anyone else. A guy at work told me he heard Miguel Cabrera is a free agent. Is this true? Who do you want YOUR team to get?

Do you guys wish you had traded him away last year after he went on a big slump in the playoffs against the tigers?

Are the Yankee fans happy he and his big fat contract is gone?

Or do you guys wish he stayed?

Is he worth all that money?

Well anything goes here...kinda like a mini forum/discussion. About A-rod , Yanks and the possibility of the Red Sox signing him to avenge losing Johnny Damon
