Yeah...learn to play first Ortiz...I can't believe he didn't make that pick at first on the bad throw by Lugo...oh wait...he did...and the Sox won the World Series...I would give you $100 to put down Ortiz to his face...it would be well worth the money.

Hmmm...Looked like Ortiz played 1st base pretty well last night...and the only donuts he's doing is rounding the bases after his HRs...

Its funny...Randy Moss and David Ortiz both are putting up crazy stats after leaving Minnesota and winding up in Boston...*L*...Must be something about Minnesota...

It goes all the way back to the Seattle Mariners they drafted him as a seventeen year old thinking he was someone else. Then they traded him to Minnesota back in 96 as the player to be named later for Dave Hollins. Nice job Mariners and Twins.

You're so stupid you don't even know Ortiz played flawless defense all year in interleague and now in the WORLD SERIES. Why don't you complain about how he never hits any home runs while you're at it.

Dope.

I think it's mostly because he had an old-school manager in Tom Kelly who didn't believe in him enough to put him out there every day. They wanted him to swing the bat more and be less patient, which went against his instincts.

Don't blame Ortiz, blame the Twins. They had a great talent on their hands, and they couldn't develop him. Kudos to the Sox for recognizing that and signing him after his release - the Twins screwed that one up bigtime.

If you read his book or listen to what he's said, you'd know that the Twins tried to turn him into a singles hitter. When he got here, they let him swing for the fences and he's been "Our Papi" ever since.

Because the Twins are too cheap to keep talented ballplayers.

Unless I miss my guess, Manny was not in the Twins line up.
