He is the richest and best player in the game today....
BUT HE IS ALSO THE MOST SELFISH PLAYER!
He should be called Me-Rod.

At this point, no one is sure where A-Rod will go. Now, earlier last month, it was rumored the Cubs were talking to A-Rod about a deal and possibly a stake in the Cubs ownership. A la Mario Lemieux (for you hockey fans out there.) The Dodgers may potentially be a heavy favorite considering that Joe Torre and Don Mattingly will most likely be hired at some point. Scott Boras lives in the L.A. area which is good..but sadly the relationship between the front office of the Dodgers and Boras has suddenly become non-existant.

Boston is possibly another favorite since Mike Lowell is leaning towards the free agency. Lugo would no longer be in danger of losing his shortstop position and A-Rod would play 3rd. If such a thing were to happen, all of Boston sports would be like the Chinese military, they would be unstoppable.

The Red Sox would be stupid to not re-sign Lowell and pick up A-Rod instead. Besides, we all know A-Rod wants his SS position back and that wont happen in Boston
The Cubs MAY be a good choice but not if A-Rod wants to win a ring
The Angels have the money and are always playoff contenders
The Giants...nah, not gonna happen

I say the ANGELS, as a shortstop

I believe A-Rod will stay in the AL and will sign a long term contract. He will want the advantage of the DH as he gets older and won't have the additional concern of having to play defense. You will never see him go to a club that has a pitchers ballpark that could cut down on his homerun production. My guess would be the Angels because they have all three things that A-Rod is looking for; (1) the money to pay him (2) a hitter friendly park, and (3) an AL team where he can DH in the future. Also, although I don't believe it will happen, I wouldn't completely rule out the Yankees no matter what they are saying now.

The Chicago Cubs really want him. The Angels could get him because they have the payroll room to do it. I like the San Fransico Giants. With the departure of Barry Bonds, they need a drawing card, and A-Rod could be it.

I think Yankee obsession with money will prevail and they'll make a better offer to A-Rod. Somewhere in the range of 28-29 mil. The number of years might be a point of contention. A-Rod might want 8+ and the Yankees won't be interested.

Finally I think he resigns with the Yankees for 8 yr 235 mil with no no-trade clause.

It's all about the money...there are only a handful of teams that can afford to pay his asking price. Look at teams like the Angels, Dodgers, Redsox, Giants, and Cubs.

My guess is that he'll end up with the Angels and get $30 million a year.

oh god, I hope that the Red Sox dont sign A-Rod. And they better sign Mike Lowell that man is a critical aspect of that team. I love The Red Sox 2007 team.

He will probably end up with the Yankees again. I don't see them letting him go.

If not, the teams that make the most sense are the Cubs and the Tigers. Both have owners that want to win. Tigers can offer him the SS position which is what he wants.

I keep thinking the Cubs for some reason but the Angels would also be a nice fit for him. As a Yankees fan that liked A-Rod , he will be glad to leave NY. He will get appreciated every where else he may end up , no more boooo's from idiot Yankee fans!!
