Of all the players in the National League right now, Tex has the best chance to hit 50. Why, look at the line-up he's got around him. No team in history has had this good 3-4 hitters. You just can't pitch around them. Frenchy will be the 5 hole with B-Mac hitting 6 or 7. Frenchy will have a stellar year next year since he will be getting pitched to on a regular basis. I just hope the Braves can get them a very solid number 3 pitcher.

Tex will not hit 50 homeruns next year. Once the NL pitchers figure out how to pitch to him, he will hit about 30-35hr..Dont get me wrong, he is an MVP type of player, but I dont think he will hit 50hr next year. He had such a great second half becuase most of the pitchers that he faced, have never faced him before becuase he spent his career in the AL until July.
Look on the other side of the coin, when the trade was made and Salty was traded to Texas, he had a much better second half.

crickets & tumbleweeds..lol. sorry bro, Im a Cleveland fan & a baseball fan, the unfortunate truth is right now in baseball there are only 3-5 teams worth talking about. NY, Boston, Angels & whoever your favorite team is, mine is the Tribe. & the only reason I say the other 3 are worth talking about is because they are the only organizations that put a good product on the field every year, sure there are other good teams, but most are one year wonders. I dont get excited about watching a one & done team like the Tigers & Cardinals last year or the White Sox a few years ago.

He has a good chance to have a great year, but will it be the whole year with the Braves or will they unload him when they realize that they can not resign him after his contract expires at the end of next season. If they do dump him midseason does he have the same finish next year that he had this year?
