2004 that Red Sox played better than 2007 because they had the ALCS comeback from having trailed 0-3 to win 4-3 series against Yankees. Then ended their drought of World Series 86 years.

Well, they're both special...2004 ended 86 years of heartbreak...This 2007 team was more dominant...and proves that 2004 was not a fluke...They didn't fall way back and have to catch up, although it was close as they let the Yankees close within 4 games late in the season, and they had to come back in the ALCS, down 3-1 to the Indians...The pitching was more consistent(although they did have Schilling AND Pedro, but I'd take Beckett now over Pedro from what I've seen)...and the offense just exploded with this team, with Pedroia, Ellsbury, Youkilis, Manny and Ortiz...

2004 was sweeter because it had been so long. Plus the comeback was better. Surprising how quickly history repeated itself. Both come backs in the ALCS and sweeps in the WS

If I had to pick one team it would be the 2007 team. They're just too good, I mean when you look at everything they did in the regualr season, and in the postseason, they were absolutely outstanding.

This yr we not only held first place the whole year we also had very good pitching and offensing and that kept us up.

they were both played well for different reasons, due the different strengths of the individual players.
I love the 04 team,...but i've come to love this one too...
Of course, as usual, it'll be new guys next season....for me to complain about at first, ..only then to fall in love with them too.!!..lol
