It's true. Rodriguez could end up in Florida. A-Rod is from Miami... he supports the Univ. of Miami baseball team with big contributions...
Plus, the Marlins had a payroll of only 30 million last season. They could sign A-Rod for 30 million, double their payroll and still be in the bottom 10 in the MLB in total salaries.
The Marlins are also rumored to be cutting ties with either Miguel Cabrera or Dontrelle Willis... This could solidify their ability to sign A-Rod.
Another side note, the Marlins are worth $244 million... their owner, Jeffrey Loria, profited $43.3 million last season...58-percent more than the next best team.
Yahoo lists the Marlins among the top 10 suitors for Rodriguez.
They have the money and the geographic advantage to sign A-Rod... it could happen.

its possible but not likely. marlins dont keep anyone for longer than a couple years anyways. They traded away their championship team right after they won. A-rod wants a 10 year deal

It is possible because the Marlins are pushing for a new stadium and he could be the drawing card if they will spend the money.

There is no way that penny pincher that runs the Marlins is going to shell out the money needed to sign A-Rod.

It would be nice if he did end up in Miami because it's his hometown but because of the kind of money he is looking for it looks like L.A. (the Dodgers) might be interested in him according to reports I've heard in the last couple of days.
