The ones that think a-rod will sign with Detroit?
Who is dumb enough to start such a stupid rumor?

There is no way on God's Green Earth that The Tigers want or need a-rod! NO WAY!

The Tigers want to win a World Series, and that will happen with a-rod on the team.

I hope he signs with the angels and starts a curse with them!

I saw this guy today...and I started liking him at Game 1 of the World series...

You cant even deny how GORGEOUS he is!

Plus he is an amazing baserunner + outfielder, and not too bad of a hitter!

Anyone agree with me?

The Red Sox are my favorite team, and this year I really liked Jacoby Ellsbury. He helped the Sox so much this year!

Who was your favorite player? (and why, if you feel like it)

I'm sick of all the A-Rod haters saying A-Rod is selfish and just wants more money. Who wants to play sports and not get what they deserve. It's always those who don't have who wants to tell people what to do and how to spen their money.People say that he's doesn't deserve all of his money because he didn't get a ring (I thought it was about the team, I guess it is until they lose then it's about A-Rod), well what about u guys who goes to work and slacks at times, but thats different. All the guy is trying to do is make sure that his childrens childrens grandchildren eat, what's wrong with that.
*Can we count the numerous Parks, Learning Centers and Charities that this SELFISH guy has SPENT his SELFISH MONEY on to be built and ect.
*Everytime i turn around him and Jay-Z r holding a celebrity poker tournament.
*If anyone can say they go to work everyday for free and never aksed for a raise or ever wanted one gets 10pts. I mean a honest answer

First off, I have been and always will be a Pirates fan and a White Sox fan, but I want to have one more favorite team, so...

I'm either going to be a Red Sox fan or a Yankees fan, but I'm having a difficult time deciding. The Yankees run in my family, the entire one side of my family is Yankees fans, but you have to love the hard work ethic of the Boston Red Sox. I do realize whichever team I choose, I will have to absolutely have the other.
I've hated Boston all my life thus far, but I really like the way they run their team. They're always the underdog, which is really how I view myself. The Red Sox are a more laidback team that loves to have alot of fun, just like myself. And no, I'm not jumping on the bandwagon here. I absolutely love baseball and I feel I have to pick a side here and be a fan of either Boston or New York. If you could help me it'd be great! Thanks!

I think the Tigers should re-sign Todd Jones. I know he filed for free agency, but I think Zumaya is to young and in-experienced to take over the role. He is still developing pitches besides his fast ball. And his stuff wasn't that great after he returned from his injury last year, which is another concern for the closer role. I say give Jonesy a 1 or 2 year deal and let Zumaya get better in the bigs.

Agree? Disagree? Why?

I think that over the next 3 or 4 years, the Boston Red Sox are going to be making a lot more money in merchandise just because they have a pretty good team right now and have a lot of fans that like to show their team pride when their team is on top.

Because of this, the Red Sox are going to have a much larger budget to use during trading and negotiating contracts. This already happened when they paid $50,000,000 just to talk with their pitcher from over seas.

On the other hand, a lot of the New York Yankees star players contracts are coming up for renewal in the next few years. They will be keeping some of these players, but like Joe Torre, a lot of them are going to be getting thrown out or traded. The Yankees also have good double and triple A teams for developing young players. They aren't going to need to spend so much money on their players anymore since they pretty much will be raised Yankees.

So here is my theory: (Wait for added details.)

My friend is not a big fan, but he said that the redsox rockies game was unfair because the redsox got the advantage, my agrument was that the rockies got that same advantage?

so should the mlb throw away ANOTHER tradition, and make each game at a different neutral park?

I understand why errors are given - to give a more accurate picture of how many runs a pitcher is responsible for vs. their team - but are they really worthwhile to track anymore?

In the days when there were multiple errors every game, I understand why the rule existed. However, the number is quite small now, and the bigger issue is that there are many questionable calls made, especially in favor of the batter. They don't even help much with fielding stats, given that zone and range factors are a better indicator in many cases of defensive skill.

Are they still worth keeping? And why?

If you know it is going over the fence, hitting it with your glove and having the ball land on the field would make it a dead ball triple? Am I correct on this assumption?
