The ones that think a-rod will sign with Detroit?
Who is dumb enough to start such a stupid rumor?

There is no way on God's Green Earth that The Tigers want or need a-rod! NO WAY!

The Tigers want to win a World Series, and that will happen with a-rod on the team.

I hope he signs with the angels and starts a curse with them!

Kris...I, for one, do NOT want a-rod on my team! What good are all those HR's and RBI if he only hits .114 in October? The Tigers are trying to WIN a world series; and that will NEVER happen if he is on the team. That is why I do NOT want "choke-rod"

Exactly, Everywher hes gone it has turned to dog poop. The Mariners, The Rangers, The Yankees and i hope the Red Sox. The Curse of the AROD. Detroit doesn't need that.

Why wouldn't the Tigers want or need A-Rod? He's the best player in the game, about to win his 3rd MVP.

I'm sure the Tigers could find a spot to squeeze his 50 HR's, 150 RBI's and 140 runs into the lineup.

Do you think he's not an upgrade over Brandon Inge at 3B? If so, I'd love to hear why.

sexy house music - he waived a no-trade clause in order to go to the Yankees. I'm sure he cares about winning.

well it makes me laugh even harder when they say he's going to the cubs..the same team with no owner right now and really..no chance of getting one anytime in the next 8 months.

a rod either gonna be a giant i say. times are changing. teams are learning the need to spend money no matter what they think. i also throw in the a's because he'd be a key to them getting a park becauase fact is their talk of moving to fremont is all talk. south bay didn't give anyteam a staduim before..they aren't gonna start now. a rod would give the city of oakland a real star in some time.

but what we know about arod is this. he goes where the money is. he's not concerned with a winner. don't say the yanks because HE WAS TRADED TO THE YANKS. he won't go to the angles because moreno has already said he won't pay another player that big money. here's a sleeper for you

atlanta.

they are talking all this smack about more big signings. i wouldn't put them out of the mix. after all they are paying mark texeria and huddy some big money.

but the giants have already said they'd entertain the offer. that to quote sabean

be stupid not to entertain the offer.

so for me the giants are the front runner. and they have the money to spend now. and will next year as well. they have all their pitching locked up for the next 5 years. which arod said he wants to play for a team with young pitching.

bingo..that's the giants.

I don't believe those baseball "experts", A-Rod will not sign with the Tigers.

Only teams will really have the money to sign A-Rod are Yankees (Not gonna happen), Mets (Might happen), Angels (Probably happen), Dodgers (Probably happen), Cubs (He'll buy the team when the 2010 season is done) and the Red Sox (They will be willing to give up Mike Lowell for A-Rod).

National League. He needs to go to the National League. What better place than the only city on earth that would have embraced another egotistical superstar? A place that loves its home run champion regardless of the team's standing. San Francisco.

nope. i dont believe the "experts" and dont have a clue how the tigers operate..aholerod doesnt fit into dd's salary scale.. i heard him once say that NO player gets more than 15% of the total team payroll.. so aholerod will never, ever be a detroit tiger... thankfully.
aholerod deserves the cubs... theyre both non-winners.

i read an article on tigers.com that stated Dombrowski was happy with his infield. I think with his shoulder problems Dombrowski/Leyland will keep Sheffield at DH, and maybe bring back Timo for LF. There is no room for A-Rod on the Tigers roster. And I am happy for that! I never liked A-Rod before, and I don't now. Nothing personal against him, just never liked him...

Hey, as long as A-Rod doesn't sign with the Red Sox, I could care less where he goes!

Sure, I like other baseball teams, but the Red Sox are my absolute favorite and I don't want to see A-Rod on their team.
