If you know it is going over the fence, hitting it with your glove and having the ball land on the field would make it a dead ball triple? Am I correct on this assumption?

The ground rule triple is under the discretion of the umpires. If they believe it would've been a home rune, they can allow the HR.

Even if there was not the likelyhood that the umpires would rule it a home run anyway, throwing your glove at a ball would be considered so "bush" that it would not be done.

If the umpire rules that the ball would have cleared the fence, then the batter is entitled to a home run. It's under Rule 7.05 A:

Its at the umpires discretion. I havent heard of this rule though, but i assume that would be the call.

Craig is right.

And it's NOT a ground rule triple. There is no such animal.
