I think that it isn't that much different than that of the typical athlete at the top of their game anymore. Perhaps he is about the closest to #1 going right now. But because of free agency and a general lack of desire for a lot of players to help build their team, his best scenario for being on the market and winning was still with the Yanks.

Remember when he signed his contract it was for $252 million dollars. Not $250, not $249. This was done by design to make his contract exactly twice that of all athletes at the time... the highest being Kevin Garnett, then with the Timberwolves. His contract?? Exactly 1/2 at $126 million. Think about it....

1, he thinks he is bigger then the game. I got news for everyone who says hes the best player, hes not. The best players show up in the playoffs why do you think Jeter makes so much money cause the guys got a great track record in the post season. Players like A-rod can have all the regular season accolades they want but until they win a title they cant be considered the best. Even though Bonds doesnt have a world series ring id say hes better then a-rod because atleast in the post season he didnt dissapear.

I wouldn't know. Do you? I doubt it. You think he's all about money? Let me ask you this, Albert Einstein. If he doesn't opt out, next year he's the highest paid player in the majors, guaranteed. He opts out. Now he may have to settle for less. Maybe not, but the gamble is there. Could it be that since he's taken in more than Keith Richards that he wants to play where he's not booed, play for an owner who is not mentally unstable, and maybe make the post season? Could it be?

His ego is larger than the US and Europe combined considering that he's never been to a World Series. He is an 11!

He's gonna look like an a$$ for opting out of his current contract. There is no guarantee he is going to get 300 mil. I hope he doesn't just for being a jerk. I wanted him to finish his career as a Yankee. If he doesn't go to the redsox and Yankees don't want him anymore where is he going to go and be guaranteed a playoff appearance and a shot at a world series.

I'm not a big fan of A-rod! He's not that good to have such an attitude. I'm a Red Sox fan and I hope we don't sign A-rod.

A RODS my landlord. I met him twice. He was cool. How can you say if he has an ego unless you actually know him or swap spit with the guy?

He really is my landlord.

Just sayin.
