The Mets want to win the World Series, why would they get Choke-Rod. Even if he came, David Wright is the 3rd baseman on this team. Choke-Rod can play first until the playoffs start.

Even do this would be a great move. It won't happen but you never know until the last moment. Imagining it does occur : David Wright stays at (3B), A-rod plays his natural position (SS) and Jose Reyes moves to (2B) remember Jose Valentin on the (DL) suffer a fracture and most likely the Meta's has order plans involving Valentin who is 38 yr old and Reyes is just 24 yr old. So if this happens this would a hell of a team i would say a "NASTY TEAM" Watch out maybe Posada joints the Met's crew !

Don't count on it.
David Wright's offense and defense are a big part of the Mets lineup.
Mets would take a big stumble if they replaced him with A-rod.
But if he came to the Mets, David would either move to second or short. If he moves to short, Reyes would play 2nd.
But still, don't count on it. A-rod would be looking for a a deal with big bucks, and even though the Mets have the money, they probably wouldn't waste it on buying A-Rod when they have a great 3rd baseman already.

Personally, I think A-Rod should have stayed with the Yankees. GO YANKEES !

perhaps you're forgetting that it is nonetheless 399 ft from living house plate to the left midsection field wall at Yankee Stadium, it takes a lot to get it out of there. A-Rod does no longer play in a ballpark the position everyone can hit a house run. Left midsection in Citi field is 364 ft, deep left midsection is 384 ft so Yankee Stadium is larger to left midsection than Citi field is, it is an analogous 408 ft to CF in both parks. both are accurate handed hitters. What distinction does it make what his batting easy changed into? OBP is a a lot more advantageous stat to seem at than batting easy. So Wright's OBP's were .354 very last 365 days; .390 in 2009, .390 in 2008, .416 in 2007, .381 in 2006 and .388 in 2005. Over that similar era A-Rod's OBP's were: .341 very last 365 days, .402 in 2009, .392 in 2008, .422 in 2007, .392 in 2006, .421 in 2005. So Wright has in easy words had one season the position he had a more advantageous OBP than A-Rod and that changed into very last 365 days. so that you picked a down 365 days for A-Rod to study those 2 gamers? i do not understand the position you have become that .321 is the superb batting easy A-Rod has had at the same time as he hit .358 in 1996. also about Wright having more advantageous protection: Wright had a -10.6 UZR very last season and a -10.0 UZR the season before that at the same time as A-Rod had a -a million.8 UZR very last season and a -6.0 the season before that. Neither one is an exceptionally good protecting 0.33 baseman yet A-Rod is larger. Why do human beings nonetheless attack A-Rod for steroids? He in easy words admitted to creating use of them between 2001 and 2003, it is 2011 and also you won't be able to coach that he used them at the same time as with the Yankees, that changed into 8 years in the past, he's performed in a million,028 video games and had just about 4,000 at bats because then. i imagine human beings merely pick to hate on the guy, he's a good participant yet all of us is too ignorant of see that because they imagine he remains on steroids. Steroids or no longer you nonetheless might want to hit the ball.

First base to replace Delgado, corner outfield or traded as part of a package for an ace such as Johan Santana.

The long shot is he would stay at third, A-Rod moves back to short and Reyes gets traded for pitching.

Don't worry, the Mets will never pay A-Rod. You heard it here first from the Baseball Goddess!

A-Rod isn't going to join the Mets since the Mets have Wright at third and Reyes at short. There is no where to put him. It isn't going to happen. Wright is staying at third.

In the newspaper it said that David Wright could play 1st. But I think that Arod should go to shortstop, Reyes in 2nd, David Wright in 3rd

Arod to mets,, david wright traded to Twins for Santana, (signs 3 or 4 yr contract)

My Guess.
This trade will not happen.
All due respect if your a New York Mets fan.

But if he DOES go to the Mets then, David Wright will stay at third base, Alex Rodriguez will go to Shortstop (His primary position in Texas, and Seattle) and Jose Reyes will (Sadly) go to Second base.

A-Rod would take Reyes's spot at short stop and then Reyes would move to second base. It's that simple doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that A-Rod is better defensively at short.
