He strikes out a lot but has been a power hitter and leads the team in homeruns. With this he will make more than Griffey, Jr.

Yes very smart.

Adam Dunn is a deathning fear to power pitches who throw 97, 98 fastballs. He's hitting .360 in his career against righties (A true fear for pitchers for a guy who's been playing for 10 years) and he's pitching an absolutely terrible .178 career average against lefties. 75% of his strikeouts are against lefties.

The Reds need a offensive power in their lineup, a long with Ken Griffey Junior (He can't do it all...Unfortunetly.)

Yes, I think he's good trade bait for some AL team. Dunn would be terrific in the AL as a designated hitter. The Reds have a chance to make a good trade to upgrade their pitching staff.

There is a marketability factor and Dunn is a star on a club that is searching mightily to reconnect with fans. And don't disregard for one minute that Dusty Baker had a say in this matter......I am sure he wanted this deal done to keep a power hitter in his lineup.

I don't think so. The Reds haven't really been close with Dunn.

40 HRs and 100 RBI for only $11-13M these days is cheap. Guess they felt they couldn't pass it up!
