Look at his stats from this year 20-7 3.27 era 40 walks 194 strikeouts in 200.2 innings..then this post season was incredible 4-0 1.20 era he had a shutout and a complete game....with only 2 walks and 35 strikeouts in 30 innings and 1 of those walks he was hitting the corner but the ump was an idiot....you would think he would've had more walks just by accident...he should have received the cy young after game 5 of the LCS

Yeah pretty much the man flat out rocks and dominates, much like papelbon but in a much more professional way.
His stats are remarkable. Cy Young here he comes.
I can't wait until he does it again next year.

He's quickly becoming a postseason legend, but I think Sabatthia should get the Cy Young award, which is based only on the regular season.
Beckett had one more victory, but Sabatthia had a better ERA, more strikeouts, an equivalent WHIP, fewer walks, and proved himself a much better workhorse by throwing 40 innings more than Beckett. Sure, Beckett has the ring, but C.C. really deserves that Cy Young award.
Josh had an amazing year, but Sabatthia was the better pitcher in the regular season.

You can't compare any players to God....
But you can compare him to the best postseason pitcher in history. I agree with you that he is a fantastic pitcher in the clutch. Everytime he got up on that mound everyone knew it was another win for the Sox.
He's pitching with a torrid 0.75 ERA after winning a game in which he allowed less than 3 runs. He did that at least 25 times during the season.

I think not. If he were a "god" as you make him out to be , he would be 20-0, o walks, with as many stikeouts as the number of players he faced, and would have a 0.00 ERA.

Beckett's pretty good, but no one will top God's amazing season in 1,954 B.C. when he went 35-4 with a 1.27 ERA.

At a young age he's already a great pitcher, with great post season accomplishments. The guy is money in the bank, a clutch performer. He's got ice water running through his veins.

I don't think any baseball players or humans are God..... but Beckett has become, without a doubt, the best pitcher in the MLB right now.

Look at his 2006 stats. Is he still a "god"?
Every Sox fan was bashing him last season. Now he's "god". Make up your minds!
