It makes perfect sense for that to happen for several reasons:
1. Torre and A-Rod have a good manager-player relationship.
2. The Dodgers are a competitive team, just a few players away from being playoff calibre.
3. Dodgers have the resources (cash) available to sign both.
4. Plenty of limelight in Los Angeles with a huge media and fan basis.

Not if he wants to break any homerun records. The smart move for him would be to not go to the Dodgers. The Dodgers stadium is huge. I also don't think that Torre was that much of an influence to A-Rod. Lou Pinella was, so that means that the Cubs might be another possibility. I could also see the Angels getting Alex. The Angels have the money for him, the question is are they willing to spend it. The Angels with Guerrero and Rodriguez would be really scary.

A-Rod will not go to the Dodgers just because Torre is there. He will take the best offer and just because Torre is with the Dodgers will not give them any added advantage.

you are not the first one to ask this question. i don't know where you live but in the north east it's known that since torre put him down in the lineup against detroit in playoffs last year he wasn't very happy. what makes you think he'll want to follow torre?! anyway he'll go where he gets the most money

Doesn't matter to me as long as Boston or the Cubs don't sign him. As a fan of both teams I don't want him.

Sure why not. I think it would be good for both of them. The pressure to win in NY was too much for them.
