First of all the Dodgers don't need an outfielder with bad legs. Barry is now a DH at best so just get over it, he will not go to the Dodgers and you can quote me on that.
The likely scenario is A-Rod to the Giants. You know the Giants need a box office draw now that Barry is gone and A-Rod is the only player that can possibly fill that stadium. (And I'm not sure that he will fill it but the Giants will try him!) And a likely place for Barry would be as a DH in the Bronx. Yep, they will swap teams. Barry will DH and like it or Girardi will sit him on the bench. Barry is on his last go 'round so he better shut up and swing the bat. What about Giambi you say? The Yanks will try Giambi at first (again) and if his legs hold up, he'll be OK. If not they'll cut him and pay the cash. With all of that Giambi and Bonds will cost less than half of A-Rod and will likely come close to him with combined production.
There you go. You heard it from the Baseball Goddess first!

I'm confused as to why the majority seems to think that Barry is going to Oakland. Do you guys even pay attention to baseball? Or is it just the lazy convenience that you are afforded to say "He'll probably go to Oakland", just because Oakland happens to also be in the Bay Area?
Oakland DOES NOT [repeat: DOES NOT] spend money on players like Bonds. They dont take up big money, short term contracts [and by big money, I mean 10mil or more per year]. Their richest contract is to Eric Chavez at 9mil a year, so what makes everyone think that Oakland would offer anything close to 10-12, even 15 mil a year to Bonds? Is everyone just assuming that Barry is going to cave and accept a low bid contract? Putting your personal feelings aside for him, Barry is thee most dominant free agent in the pool after ARod. Especially when he is being shopped as a DH. Anaheim and NY could easily offer Bonds somewhere in the neighborhood of 12-15 a year and most likely they will...because they BOTH need a big bat in the lineup. With all of that being said, I'd bet my house that Barry ends up in NY or Anaheim next year, with the edge going to Anaheim because of the stink they made about NOT going after ARod.
ARod - I know baseball fans like to dream, but the likelihood of ARod going to the Red Sox, Dodgers, Yankees, Twins, Rangers, Mets, Tigers, or Cubs is very slim. Out of the small field of teams who can actually afford ARod, the field is even smaller when you consider who can actually USE ARod. With that in mind, I think SF is a strong strong favorite. They have the money and they have what ARod is looking for in a team. Even if it comes down to a bidding war with Anaheim, Sabean will stick to his guns and make the deal happen. The bottom line is that SF NEEDS ARod. Without him, they arent selling more than 60% of their available tickets next year. He's a marketing move and a good one at that.
Bonds to Anaheim, ARod to San Francisco. To anyone that has been paying attention, these deals have been done since the All Star break.

I believe Barry Bonds will retire with a fantastic career, but a huge possibility of steroid use in the past.
Alex Rodriguez will most likely go to the Cubs, White Sox or Angels. Those are the top 3 on the list, and all three can afford him. All three of the teams could use a third basemen, but if he goes to the Cubs, they will not be willing to give up Ramirez, so they will place him at shortstop, his old position with Seattle and Texas.
My Prediction: Angels, Chone Figgins can play center, and A-rod could play third with Cabrera at short. Great gap control and production at the middle of the lineup along with Anderson, Cabrera, a possible A-Rod and Guerrero.

A-rod could go to the Angels - Dodgers - Met's. Barry wants to play for an American league team period, He just need (65) hits to reach the "3000 HIT CLUB" and as a (DH) it would be great, Remember Bonds doesn't have young legs any more to play the outfields and he knows it.

Home.
Both of them need to go home.
Man alive. How many years between the two of them and neither of them have ever won a World Series, yet they are both out there chasing salaries that would keep many third world countries fed for years.
I can't stand either of them and I wish they would go away. Until they do win rings they are both ridiculously overrated in my book. And if anyone buckles and gives into ARod's $30M a year contract demands I might never turn on another baseball game.

Barry will go probably across the bay to become the DH of the A's
A-Rod will probably go across the nation to Los Angeles, Dodgers or even Angels, or yes San Fran, where they need new talent (But remember their 75 milllion dollar faliure Barry Zito)

if barry goes to the dodgers i will throw beer bottles at him every time he dares set foot on san francisco soil again. he already embarrassed the team enough with the balco scandal, joining the dodgers would just be a slap in the face.
GIANTS FTW!

A-Rod to the Angels... Barry needs to go AL that is for sure... just about any club that doesn't have a powerhouse DH could use his help.

A-Rod to the Dodgers. I don't care where he goes, as long as it isn't the Red Sox.
Bonds - I'm guessing Seattle. Where should he go - retirement.
