I'm sure that some might predict the Padres, since they have a good team.
However, predicting any World Series champ is a tricky business. It seems easier to pick teams to make it into the playoffs, but once you're in the playoffs, the teams with the best records do not always win; one or two mistakes, one team gets hot, one team gets cold, and it's easy to lose a 5 or 7 game series, despite a team's true skill.
There's probably a good amount of people predicting that the Padres will make the playoffs, but I don't know that there's any majority of analysts focusing World Series predictions on any one team just yet. I could be mistaken, though, but I've not heard excessive Padres praise.
In my opinion, they've got a decent chance at the playoffs, as do many other teams.

Most of them are picking the Padres to go to the World Series, but nearly all of the analysts say that a team from the American League will win the Series.
Probably the Red Sox or the Tigers.

I think it would be safe to say that "some" could be picking the Padres but not "most".

I don't know. I think they will take the division again, but who knows after that.
