The second time he played for the Royals, I got Jose Lima's autograph. Now, I know that isn't much to brag about, but he was great with the kids, took pictures with everyone in line, shook everyone's hand, and he signed several items for a lot of people standing in line. He signed my Royals t-shirt, and he also signed my ticket stub from that day. Of course... I think he may have given me an STD from the handshake but that's besides the point.
I also got an autograph from Albert Pujols. I took my son to a hitting clinic that he put on in Kansas City about 2 years ago. He took the time to sign an autograph for all the kids in attendance, and also all the parents who wanted one. Then he pulled all of the security guards over that were working his clinic and signed 4-5 cards apiece for them. Pujols is one of the nicest baseball players I've ever got a chance to meet. He's very humble, and extremely fan friendly.

Willie Stargell,1970, in Atlanta, lobby of the Marriott Hotel. he came off the elevator and was surrounded by about 15 -20 people wanting an autograph. He started out saying he didn't have much time, but sat a sofa in the lobby and signed everyone's item very graciously. Class act all the way. 2nd: Pete Rose, 1971, also in Atlanta. A group of about 13 guys found out his hotel room and went to his room and knocked on the door. Pete answered in his underwear and signed everyone's paper while standing in the hallway.

Jeff Bagwell. I was probably 6 or 7-ish but he was really nice about it all. He was a rookie that year and I still have the autographed ball to this day. He took the time to talk to me even though there were hundreds of people behind me.
Oh yeah, can't forget Jose Cruz. That guy was awesome. I met him at a hardware store years and years ago.

Barry Zito when he played for the Oakland Athletics. I was at the Ball Park in Arlington when a large man was over-zealous in getting autographs and was crushing this little boy. So I did what any normal person would do I pushed him off the kid and asked Barry to sign his baseball. He signed one for me also and I got a free date out of it as well. Well got to hang with him and a few other players and T.G.I.F after the game.
