It will be a battle all season. In the end, I think Detroit wins the division--just on pitching alone....Of course having a very good strong solid offense will help.
Detroit up by 1 or 2 at the end.
Cleveland takes the wild card.

The Tigers are a better team of those two but they have a big series coming up against the Twins. If the Twins can take that series you have to put them in the mix for the division and wild card race as well but for sure 2 of the 3 teams will be in the playoffs. I'm taking the dark house Twins to take it down the stretch again this year. What can i say I'm a homer.

Tigers win if they upgrade their bullpen. Twins take 2nd place as the Indians falter in September. The Twins will flirt with the Wild Card, but fall short to the Blue Jays. The J's get smoked in the first round. The Red Sox and Tigers meet up in the AL Championship - Red Sox take it all in a close series!

Indians are going to win it, Detroit has a nack for complaining to the umpires to get calls, so I think kharma will get them for whining all the time. Before you start whining, I'm only kidding. I have respect for the Detroit, maybe not as much for them orfans over the last couple of year, but still alot of respect. It will be very close though and I really think hopefully if the Indians win it, the Tigers will be the wild card.

Clearly Detroit is the better team? Does that explain why the Indians have 6 wins against Detroit while they only have 4? It's going to be a close race. Either team could win it because they are both great teams. Detroit does have Zumaya and Rodney coming back but the Indians also have Fultz. I'm going to say the Indians are going to win it by 2 games because the Indians bench and minor league syestem, have much more depth then the Tigers do.

Well, if the Tigers fall off at the end like last season it will be bad, but both are great teams. The Tigers Starting pitching just seems too good (along with best offense), but who knows what could happen.

i am a die hard tiger fan but cleveland is the better team. however that does not mean detroit will not win the division. with the trade deadline looming (get rid of thames, inge, monroe) detroit could add some bullpen help (lidge, gagne ?) and maybe a few surprises (texiera (sp?)) then get sheffield to shut his mouth and they should be able to take it all. btw the tigers are peter gammons pick to take it all. go tigers. p.s. i think det will win the division and minnesota will take the al wildcard. mariners in the west and boston in the east. NL - braves, brewers, dodgers. wildcard - cubs. sorry mets not your year.
