but if he said God speaks to him THROUGH A HAIRDRYER, we'd assume he was crazy?

Think about it.

The LORD spoke to Ahaz, saying:
Ask for a sign from the LORD, your God;
let it be deep as the netherworld, or high as the sky!
But Ahaz answered,
“I will not ask! I will not tempt the LORD!”
Then Isaiah said:
Listen, O house of David!
Is it not enough for you to weary people,
must you also weary my God?
Therefore the Lord himself will give you this sign:
the virgin shall conceive, and bear a son,
and shall name him Emmanuel.

i do not understand these verses.
can someone please explain?
and please?
(:

Last week on NPR, he refused to answer whether he believes in Creationism, and said it was silly that they were asking him questions about his "personal beliefs".

But, right on his website, he says, "my faith defines me"... Shouldn't NPR have the right to ask questions about what he says defines him?

The Gospel of the Nazirenes is the original New Testament. The original followers of Jesus (The Essenes) had to go into hiding, bieng they where being killed by the Roman Government becaue they where following Jesus. They took the original New testament with them into a Bhdhist Temple where it was found and is now available with historical documentation of its authenticity. All you have to do is read it and see that maks all sense. More than the Bilbe of today, whch there ar now thousands of sects who speculate on what the meaning of it is. The fact is in 324 AD King Cosntantine with his click of scribes changed the Bible to control the citizens. I am so glad I know what Jesus originally said. You can too. For info google gospelofthenazirenes.com Following Jesuses original teachings will set you free.

Plenty of people, judging by the criticisms I receive in emails and on this forum. But I still don't get why, and I hardly ever get an answer to that when I ask.

Does the existence of polyamoury bother you? Nudists? Sex workers? Hare Krishnas? New Age religions? Just plain old hippies?

And most importantly, WHY? Is it because you worry your children will be lead astray? That the Judeo-Christian God will smite the entire nation? Do you fear you will be pressured to join? Or that your values will die out as time goes on? Some other reason?

question is, don't you think God will be disappoined? It seems that if I take pills, I have given in to the despair and it would be as if I'm telling God, "I trust the medicine more than your powers of healing."

We are all "brothers and sisters in Christ" it is not fitting then that the Blessed Virgin Mary be our Heavenly Mother given to us by Christ himself on the cross! Aren't we all that "disciple" at the foot of the cross?

"To the saints and true brothers in Christ at Colossae..." Collosians 1:2

Then He said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!"..." John 19:27

Mary is the Mother of Jesus and the Mother of all of us even though it was Christ alone who reposed on her knees… If he is ours, we ought to be in his situation; there where he is, we ought also to be and all that he has ought to be ours, and his mother is also our mother. —MARTIN LUTHER, Sermon, Christmas, 1529.

I'm from England, and my view for the British government is a definite NO.

However, that's just me, I would like to know the view of Americans as to whether they feel that religion and politics should mix. Should the President base any of his views on his religious beliefs for example.

I ask, as I wonder if religion and politics are more closely linked in the US than in Britian.
