For what reason were we created by God? What was His purpose for putting this earth here and putting us on it?

Please don't go into a Mormon-bashing session, just give me your own beliefs. Thank you.

know they will laugh at me. They will think me a fool, proud, mad, etc.….I can do without all the rest if I have Him. Fear not for me, nor for those who will join me. God will look after us all. He will be with us. —Mother Teresa

In taking on our human nature, Jesus has ensured that, indeed, God will always be with us. Find a way today to make God’s presence more real to someone in your life.

I know I've heard this line about Jesus before, but I was young enough then to not have any further options available. How about fictional?

Luke 9:23
And He said to them, If anyone wants to come after Me let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

I appreciate Luke's rendering of this verse because it has a very dear word in it. The word " daily." This kind of way to live the christian life is a day to day thing. Please share on how the Lord has touched you regarding this verse with us.

Ty for taking the time.
Spend however much time to share your portion.

Here are the verses:

Acts 20:32-35
32 "Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. 33 I have not coveted anyone's silver or gold or clothing. 34 You yourselves know that these hands of mine have supplied my own needs and the needs of my companions. 35 In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' "

Verse 35 is one of those rare instances where Paul quotes the Lord Jesus Christ........but........that particular quote is found nowhere else in Scripture. We know that Paul only met the Lord in His glorified state on the road to Damascus........but never in the flesh.

This is only an opinion question....as I truly believe in the Scriptures as being direct from God. Where do you suppose Paul heard this?

Thanks,
Primo

Moses comes down after talking to god. He tells the crowd "I have some good news and some bad news." "What would you like to here first?" The crowd says "give us the good news first." So Moses tells them "I got the comandments down to 10." The crowd asks "what is the bad news?" Moses says "adultery is still one of them."

Strangley, people seem to think that Jesus Christ is religious and associate Him with religion. The fact is that is wasnt until nearly 200 years after His Ascention that the 'Christian Church' was formed, reason being that Italian gov. were so afraid of loosing their popularity and 'strength' that they decided to 'play along' to keep the peoples money controlled "The Vatican today'

Yet it was Jesus who went into the temples (of deceit and deception) and told that 'The Fathers House is a House of Prayer, not of money and deceit. Take them out of His House.'

So you see, Jesus isnt part of religion, but rather, a much needed sign (for us) to show us that we are loved and must not concentrate on material things, but spiritual things, if we are to progress as brothers and sisters, helping, sharing and caring for each other.

However you look at it and think of things, we have had so many signs sent to us, to show us that good shines the way, and that we have a part to play. Peace
