YES I am ridiculed
No I am used to it

Yes, I have been ridiculed and avoided. When I was saved, neither of my parents nor my siblings were saved. My dad made Sunday 'family day' in an attempt to pressure me to stay home. He stopped speaking to me after a few years. My mother and sister were saved during that time. My dad was saved 2 years ago (20 years later) and I praise God for helping me to remain faithful in the face of my dad's anger because I believe God was able to use me to show him the truth. My brother avoids any discussion so he knows my beliefs and we talk only when he wants to talk about it.

Good Morning Debra,

Personally, I have never been openly ridiculed about my faith. I do not worry about what other people think about my beliefs. We are truly blessed to live in a country where we have the freedom to worship as we please.

Since the beginning of recorded history there has been a war on religion. Christian persecution started with Jesus himself. He was asked directly at trial, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?” Jesus left no room for ambiguity – His two words were “I am.” The religious elite in Jerusalem knew what Jesus was saying – It was very clear to them that He was claiming to be God. Jesus was put to death on a Roman cross for the crime of blasphemy.

Our Lord, Jesus Christ suffered a humiliating, horrible, earthly death. As Christians, we need to stand firmly in our beliefs and not be discouraged by those who so freely mock us.

Peace be with you

I've never been ridiculed because I have a rather irreverent sense of humor. I think also though, I've never been the type to be "in someone's face" about my faith. I'm willing to talk if someone asks me, but I have never nor will I ever approach someone.

I dont care what others think, the only one I fear is the one that has the power to send me to heaven or hell.

and, I do witness in an odd way, I try to add stories about how good God is, and, what he has done for me etc. people seem more interested in Christ if you make your witnessing personal. It seems if you come right out with it - most people just tune you out.

Luke 12:5
But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

As far as Christianity is concerned Jesus Christ is all that matters and looking back into history we can see that many people have laid down there lives for Christ especially during the dark ages and were persecuted for over 1200 years and still Christians are persecuted in many countries but greater is He who is in us then him who is in the world

yes - frequently by an atheist friend -
you know what?
Hear the Word:
Luke 12
8Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

9But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

Ridiculed at times - it doesn't bother me because I feel sorry for anyone that can only feel good about themselves by making fun of others.

I do not worry about the thoughts others, Christians are to please God not men:

Galatians 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
