Do you know if the largest number of Jews out of Israel is happily living in Iran, one of the so-called "Axis of Evil".

Check out this happy co-existence.

It can't be that they are dazzled by the magic of it, because every religion claims to have their own magic of some sort. (Prayer, healing, personal revelation, etc.)

I've noticed that the strongest, most uncompromising opponents of anything tend to be those who used to be [whatever] and are no longer. C.L. Richardson, for instance, appears to be advertising himself as an ex-atheist now. What is it about people that makes someone so adamantly opposed to something they used to accept? It's a puzzlement to me.

Suppose you found a watch in the forest. You would examine the watch and all of its complexity. Based on the complexity of the watch and how well all of its parts work together in harmony you would conclude that the watch has a designer. And that designer was probably a person.

Now suppose you found a car. You could examine the complexity of the car and conclude that the car was also designer by a person.

If you saw an airplane, you would know that the airplane is complex, so it too must have been designed by a person.

Therefore, all complex things that we've examined have been designed by people. So it is reasonable to conclude that complex things are designed by people. God is very very complex. Even more complex than an airplane. So I guess that means God was designed by people.

So what would you think if you found a watch in the forest? Does it prove that God was designed by people?

I have some question that have been bothering me. Goodness where do I start.
I am a divorced mother with a son. I recently was divorced from my husband who was married once before me. So that makes me wonder if my marriage was legal to began with in God's eyes. Or was I just committing adultery?
I am a christian and my exhusband agnostic. I'm not sure if I knew this before we was married. I was young, he is almost 7 years older than I am. I tried to stay married to him. I stayed married for 7 years seperated for almost 3 before the divorce. So a total of alomost 10 years.
My marriage was terrible we fought hard all the time. I was mentally and physically abused. My son seen all of this.
My husband didn't have marriage relations with me. I tried to talk to him about it, nothing worked. I tried telling him I need to feel like he cared.
When went to sleep in the same bed he had his own cover and I had mine. I wasn't allowed to get close to him no hugging, nothing. I had to stay on my side of the bed. So I just started sleeping on the couch.
I messed up and found confort in another mans arms. I am not proud of it. I'm not sure if my exhusband cheat physically. He would tell me all the women he wanted to sleep with and made crude comments about them. Like what he would do to them.
What I am asking is I found someone who is great to me and my son. We go to church and are talking about getting married. The exhusband doen't have much to do with our son. He just wants to aggervate me.
I have read some of the bible and I find where I am allowed to get remarried without comminting adultery.
I don't want to send my furture husband to hell or myself because I remarried. Can you help me with is concern I have?
Thank you so much for your time,
Shannon

Hello, all:

This post was inspired by another question:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071217182204AAzrmuc

My questions are this: What do Wicca and Paganism have to say about the relative status of the sexes? Are they considered equal and fundamentally the same? Equal and fundamentally different? Is one above or below the other? Or are such questions not important in your own experience of your religion?

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to respond.

Then send hugs and warm thoughts to hate mongering trolls bent on spreading hateful thoughts about Gays and Atheists. Hateful people need heaps of love to warm their hearts.

Jeffrey Dahmer was gay. Jeffrey Dahmer was an Atheist ~ which is debatable ~ he flip flopped between that and Christianity.

I think we can ALL agree that Jeffry Dahmer was not a role model, including our Atheist and Gay friends.

Why did Jesus have to be crucified for humanity to be forgiven? Couldn't God have forgiven us for our sins without letting Jesus be executed? It doesn't seem like it would be too much to ask from an omnipotent deity.

Also, why did it have to be the Son of God? Couldn't a mortal have done it just as easily? If the answer is that a mortal couldn't have risen from the dead, does that mean that the person would have gone to Hell? If so, how is that a just reward for the ultimate selfless act?

Finally, why did the "sins of humanity" have to be forgiven at all? How is it that everyone, including good people, would have deserved to go to Hell? And if Jesus died only for the sins of Christians, why should good non-Christians go to Hell? If it is for the original sin, is it fair to blame humanity for what two people did? We don't put Genghis Khan's descendants on trial for war crimes. Last question: what was so bad about original sin? All they did was eat a lousy piece of fruit!
