That although they have continuously preached that the end of the world is near, they've been awaiting it for almost 2000 years.
That they speak of a loving God who tortures people for all eternity.
That the fundamentalist contingent accepts the slightest flaw in the book of Mormon, the Koran, or other ancient texts as proof that they are "FALSE," but shields the Bible and makes excuses for it when others put it under the exact same scrutiny.

Well I don't know if it is the most ironic thing in christianity, but I have always found the very famous quote of Paul's to be the most ironic statement in all organized religion.
1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

The great irony is that religions supposedly based on love and tolerance and cooperation are the major causes of all the hatred and intolerance and genocide and war in the world!
(Not -just- Christianity, of course. But if Christianity were the One True Faith, if it was unique and special among the world's religions, one might expect it to work differently from the others. And it doesn't.)

THE most ironic thing about Christianity... Oh boy... Um, yes I have one- my theology teacher in high school who told us it was a sin to mutilate our bodies with piercings or tattoos yet she smoked three packs a day... Sorry she's just a christian, not christianity the religion... Oh well it's a fine tale nonetheless!

The Punch Line. Just like Hudini said he'd be in contact, but didn't, Jesus said he'd be back within "one generation" (to quote him) and did not.
