Actually, atheists do believe in things, like people and love, not imaginary mystical beings. Since there's nothing going on at work and I get paid anyway, I stay home and express my appreciation for my family and friends with symbolic material tokens. Sometimes, if I'm feeling mischievous, I take another look at the Nativity Story and have a good laugh. And if I find the time, I compose a friendly message or two to friends I can't be with. (I spell out all the words too, so that I don't come off as a lazy, ignorant twit.)

The same way everyone else does, with the exclusion of worshiping fictional characters.... obviously.

It would be so refreshing if non-atheists, such as yourself, would pick up a book once in a while and read about how your religious holidays came from mostly non-religious celebrations. Before man created god concepts and such.

PS: I have plenty of Holiday Spirit and thoroughly enjoy all the Holiday Spirit and Good Will this time of year. No religion needed. Thank you very much!

The "Xmas Holiday", or whatever you want to call it was celebrated by Pagans and Atheists long before the Christian religion hijacked it.

It was called Yule, and celebrated the Winter Solstice, as it signified the end of the year and the coming of the summer.

You need to learn more before asking questions like this.

I rejoice all of them. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, St. Patrick's Day, etc. it is frequently basically a reason to get inclusive of the family individuals extra desirable than something. Christmas and Easter, I never bypass to church or something like that.

I enjoy whatever is happening, but with no meaning. X-mas is Christ's date, for me is only a day what I'll see my relatives/friends, eat and drink delicious things a lot.
Btw, looks like Christ doenst born at 25 dec, and also bible says nothing about birthday's celebration, but Christ tells his disciples to celebrate and remember his death's day.
Purely captalism I mind, don't like it, althought atheist I hate ppl getting advantage of other's faith.

Probably about the same as "so called Christians", without the worship of Imaginary Deities. We celebrate with gifts, food, family and friends.

I participate in all the parts that don't have anything to do with religion, such as tree decorations, lights, cookies, presents, santa, family gatherings, christmas carols (most of them), etc. Christmas is easy because there's such an overwhelmingly secular aspect to it. Easter I can simply ignore.

I'm atheist. I still celebrate. I don't celebrate it because Jesus was born those days. I celebrate it because I value family time and gift trading. It's a time of the year we can all enjoy as one.

I go celebrate Christmas as a family meeting with fun and love and good food and presents, I will accompany them to church and think nothing of it.
Christmas is a time to revel in your family ties.

We run naked around a fire singing atheist songs, tell dirty jokes, and then have orgies until Santa shows up!

Other Atheists sell the toys that you buy for your pagan ritual of the tree, fatman in red suit, and overindulging in food and drinks.
