Last week on NPR, he refused to answer whether he believes in Creationism, and said it was silly that they were asking him questions about his "personal beliefs".

But, right on his website, he says, "my faith defines me"... Shouldn't NPR have the right to ask questions about what he says defines him?

Mike Huckabee has as much chance of being elected as Bush has of winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Actually, Bush may be the Waterloo of the Republican Party and all the Reds in the 2008 race. I think we should get ready for Blue Skies.

just like so many Christians - ask them to defend their faith and they can't. plain and simple. he didn't want to look like a doofus and say it is what his pastor told him most likely.

Huckabee is a dangerous man to even think about as president. Faith should be a non-issue in the presidental election, but it won't be - and it will be a sad day in America when seperation of church and state ends. It will if Huckabee is elected president.

He is imminently beatable in a general election. There is a lot of dissension in the Republican ranks, so even if he gets the nomination, he'll have to talk about those definitions in the upcoming debates with Hilary, Obama, or Edwards.

So many on this forum advocate, "freedom of religion" and "seperation of church and state". Some have gone on to say they would dismiss any candidate who profess any faith. Others say let the faithful keep it to themselves. Comments like this are common........

So here we are with a Southern Baptist Preacher-----hello people---a Southern Baptist Preacher------running for office. Now you are upset that he will not PROMOTE and explain his faith while in the political arena!..........

Seems to me as if you have tied his hands behind his back!

It's because he's playing politics.

He reaches out to the Xians by saying his faith is important to him. So he's now "one of them". But at the same time he's not touching any hot button issues because he knows that if he does this he'll lose certain votes from other groups.

He wants to lock in the evangelical voting block without being absolutely crucified by moderates and liberals.

Faith is to Huckabee as "secret plan for getting out of 'Nam" is to Nixon.

They could tell us, but it's better we don't know...

Because only people who share his faith can talk about his faith with him. That way he won't look bad.

Just another lying, hypocritical sack of excrement, if you ask me.

You did ask me, right?!

He's afraid you'll call the ACLU on him and get him banned from speaking. That's what you all do best, you know.
