People believe in God because God is real. We have an inborn need to worship and follow are creator. Just look around and see what happens when a portion of society slips away from the teachings of our Lord. Society becomes morally bankrupt, seeks out material needs and a sense of self over a sense of general well being for all. God is real and the only reason we are here.

Everyone has their reasons... I cannot speak for them.
I believe in God because I have seen the positive affect that he has had in my life and the lives of those that I know who believe since becoming believers!

i believe what i experience personally...and i can place God into that equation. that's just me. if you want to figure out the answer to your question, it may also help to ask yourself "why DON'T people believe in God?" . but on the whole, it's a personal thing.

Because they haven't yet figured out that gods are an invention of the human mind. In some ways this is a good thing, because it means that they can be helped to see the light.

Do you not believe in those YOU love, and have a relationship with them?
Christians have a real relationship with God, dear one. That's why we believe. We KNOW He exists because we speak with him on a regular basis.

God reveals His existence to each individual. Why some refuse to acknowledge it, I do not know.

There are as many different answers to that question as there are people who believe. The most common umbrella answers are because they were raised that way and because they need to believe there is a supreme being watching over them.
