Any Mormons out there? I want to know what it is like growing up as a Mormon. Not your religious beliefs, because I can research those...but day to day church events and the support you feel from the church in your everyday life.

I'm considering joining the church, and I have two young girls. Is there guidance for children who misbehave or wander off the path, especially for teens?

that its a sin to talk to the dead? so if we narrow it down and we except Jesus as our savior and live by the ten commandments, then we will get to heaven right, but no where does it say in them that we can not believe in reincarnation and that we can talk to the dead. you can not say that if it were so God would have said so, because God himself even said that he has kept many secrets, he has not told you everything, I dont understand why that part keeps getting forgoton.

Isaiah 40:10, says Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand, and his arm (his arm) (his arm) (his arm) shall RULE for him............. This verse is speaking about the coming of Jesus.

Isaiah 52:9 says, Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days....................

Isaiah 52:10 The LORD hath made bare his holy ARM in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

Isaiah 66:2 says, "For ALL ALL things MY hand (ARM) has made, and all those things exist," says the LORD.

I just saw a Discovery Channel show about lying and one of the experts said that it is essential for the growth and developement of communication skills. This seems to be negating the moral issue of lying. What are your thoughts on that?

My mom tells me to go to church and I say I don't go church anymore. She says if I don't go it's a sin but she makes it sound like a deadly sin that will send me straight to hell. Imagine what she thinks of all the other horrific sin out there. I'm just wondering, why my catholic mom love to make me feel so guilty about everything I do or don't do?

Did I sin by being born. I reject the notion of original sin. How can a person be responsible for something someone did thousands of years before they were born?

If the second coming of Jesus is invisible, then in what sense will "every eye" see Him?

Do you think Jebus will return in his old-school robe, sandals and trademark beard? Or do you think he'll appear with a trendy new, pimped-out look.

Times have changed in the last 2,000 years. In the age of MTV and flashy advertising, he may have to do it big. Im talkin superbowl halftime big. Because if not, the second coming may not even make the top 4 news stories on yahoo. Coverage of his return will be overshadowed by K-fed or Paris Hilton.

On the other hand, if he shows up doing all of his old-school crazy magic and isn't dressed in his trademark garb, then people may not believe that he is in fact the great Jebus, son of god. People may think he's just some Criss Angel wannabe. So he may have to go "old-school" and stick with the robe just so people recognize him.

what do you all think?

Prophecy here again has been written hundreds of years before the event actually took place. We can all guess at what might happen in the future and inevitably we will get it wrong but the proof of a true prophet of God is that these prophecies do come true.

As the creator it seems people expect God to resolve all human ills, after all it's all powerfull. But using this same logic you would expect parents who can afford to, to financially help out their children forever more. Most parents don't and won't do this, if they did tramps and street children wouldn't exist. Should we expect more from our earthly creators-our parents?

verse of the bible , in -Matthew 18:7-9, Jesus said

'If your hand of your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away.
It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into the eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life
with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell."

Cut off your hand? Gouge your eye? what kind of sick stuff is this?
