because jesus was a man who lived on bare nessicites and prayed like he was suppose too.
Mother teresa changed the lives of others by loving everyone like jesus did. It didnt matter if the person hurt her she still loved them. Mother teresa loved everyone and everything. Someone with that kinda love is going to impact people because a rare few are like that. And mother teresa was out to please and serve god and she was genuine about that, the population that is like that is like 2 % i am including the religious finatics out there also. Mother Teresa impacted all of us in one way or another.

Mother Teresa embodies that necessary spirit of sacrifice and dedication to others, but even the superior service she renders is ultimately superficial. She ministers to the ravaged flesh of men, but the ultimate source of suffering is that single festering wound on the human spirit which is forgetfulness of God. We do not fully acknowledge Him until we accept His final order to us: "Abandon all varieties of dharma [religion] and just surrender to Me." Only by accepting this injunction, and thus by concretely accepting God's position, can we possibly have peace, and on that basis there is no difficulty for a leader to be both powerful and pure.

She had a personal faith in Christ first and foremost without this she would not have done such good work, she took to her heart the directive of Christ regarding love your neighbor and put this into everyday practice.
She helped change others lives by her down to earth no nonsense approach to life and by her dependence on God, she had her faith shaken many times in life and the fact that she clung on in spite of the knocks has been an inspiration to many.

Her recently published private letters indicated that she probably didn't believe in God (though she wanted to).
She did fantastic work for the poor, and it goes to show you that you do not need to believe in God to do good work.

I'm not sure Jesus did. I know of no statement by her that she believed Christ is God. Indeed I have read (here-say) that she believed there were many ways to heaven - whatever that meant.
