Actually, you choose to allow it. People can't 'make us' do or feel anything ~ we choose to allow ourselves to get sucked into their drama.
Why get into a discussion with her about it? If she brings it up just say "Mom you know I don't go and I'm not going to discuss this anymore with you" then change the topic and if she't not willing to change the topic, leave the room (or say "gotta go mom" and hang up the phone).
If you end the conversation enough times she will quit bringing it up.

My dad did this to me when I moved out. I could not go to any other church but catholic. Don't feel guilty, you are grown and can make your own decisions. Sometimes parents have a hard time letting go. I know I have a lady friend that is this way with her child. She probably grew up during the time that not to go to church was considered a sin.

To be honest you shouldn't feel bad. Your Mom probably has already found out by now what is going on. Having sex isn't a bad thing it is only natural. Just make sure to be safe when having sex don't do anything stupid. Everyone feels awkward around a person after something like that. Don't worry about it just have fun!

My mom can be the same way. And I really don't think church is for everyone. I myself don't go. But that doesn't mean that I'm not a good person and that I don't pay attention to God. I believe there are many other ways to prove to God that you love him and such. What I do is pray like 2-3 times a week and thank him everyday and let him know that I do love him. I believe that is good to keep.

My mom makes me feel guilty if I unwillingly make her mad. If she gets mad at something I've done that I just simply forgot, she will say that God is displeased with my "disprespect."
Anyway, there are worse things that kids to these days besides miss attending church, so you are in the clear as far as I can tell.

Do what your parents ask of you. That is why they are parents. To teach you how they feel they should raise their child.
Just think, if you had a child, would you want to raise them the way you wanted?
They do not want to make your life miserable, they only want to try and raise you right. The way they think is right.
So I urge that you listen to them and obey them. It will mean a lot to them. And then when you grow up and have a family of your own, you should raise your children the way you want and expect them to obey your rules on how you choose to raise them.
I hope this helps...

You sure sound as if you are in that rebellious stage of your life, your Mum is correct and you are obliged by canon law to attend Sunday Mass under pain of serious sin unless you have good reason,i.e sickness or incapacitated, simple excuses that are plain laziness do not count.

She is telling you the truth because she loves you. If you choose not to go to Church then you are choosing Hell. Sorry but there it is. If you do not like it ---go to Church.

Feeling guilty is a Catholic thing and devout Catholics like nothing better than spreading that guilt feeling to others.
