God did away with religion formalities,we still have to obey the word example In the old testsament the preists gave up the sacrifice for our sins to God now we can go to jesus ourselves, remember the sabbathday to keep it holy Jesus became the Lord of our sabbath and we can rest in him at anytime we are still not supposed to work on that day, alot of the old testament is symbolic for the new,in the old testament they did not have the infilling of the Holy Spirit until after Jesus died and rose again,in the ols testament the holy spirit came on those to do the work of the Lord by their faith and obedience, the tower of babel were he confused the languages was symbolic for the Holy spirit giving us the gift of speaking in tongues, you need the infilling of the holy ghost to have revelation,

The Old testament still counts.

Matthew 5:17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

It was a schoolteacher for us Christians.

Gal 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster [to bring us] unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gal 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
