Do you think Jebus will return in his old-school robe, sandals and trademark beard? Or do you think he'll appear with a trendy new, pimped-out look.

Times have changed in the last 2,000 years. In the age of MTV and flashy advertising, he may have to do it big. Im talkin superbowl halftime big. Because if not, the second coming may not even make the top 4 news stories on yahoo. Coverage of his return will be overshadowed by K-fed or Paris Hilton.

On the other hand, if he shows up doing all of his old-school crazy magic and isn't dressed in his trademark garb, then people may not believe that he is in fact the great Jebus, son of god. People may think he's just some Criss Angel wannabe. So he may have to go "old-school" and stick with the robe just so people recognize him.

what do you all think?

This is a serious question about Jesus? "Do you think Jebus will return......." Jebus was the first name of Jerusalem and in Hebrew it means trodden down or to trample, which in a sense, that's what you seem to be doing in this question. The Jesus Christ that I know teaches that all people who don't believe in Him and abide in His word will be deceived into thinking that this flashy Jesus you are describing is actually the true Christ returning. Matt 24:24 is what I'm referring to, have you read it? A question to ask yourself is who are the elect?

The Bible says when He returns it will be with the shout of the Archangel and not as a lamb but as the Lion of the Tribe of Jesus. I maaters not what he looks like what matters is if we are looking. There will be no worry about trivial matters on that day. It is a time of dire importances. We need to prepare ourselves for meeting Him.

Stop mocking God it is not funny.. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the oming of the Lord, will certainly not come before those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come dow from heaven, with a LOUD COMMAND, with the voice of the archanged and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the CLOUDS to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefor encourage eachother with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him: and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of Him.

Reveleation 1:6,7

also, in Malachi 3:6 God says I the Lord do not change.

So my point is it's irrelevant, that God knows His people and His people know Him.

It is said that when Jesus reappears on earth, He won't look like His former human self. His hair will be white and He will be wearing dazzling white robes. He will wear a crown, and on the side of his robe, near the leg I believe, will be words declaring who He is. His eyes will be like fire.

This is known by believers to be the true image of Jesus Christ. (There might be more of a description somewhere in the Bible, within Revelation I think).

I also believe that at times Jesus will appear to someone how they perceive Him to be. There was a documented report by one woman who claimed He wore jeans and a t-shirt in her dream. When she asked why, He said: "I came to them wearing robes because they wear robes. "I come to you wearing jeans because you wear jeans." So it would depend on the person and Jesus Himself.

I can tell it is a serious question when you throw in terms like "old-school" and "pimped-out" and describing the second coming as on par with a Super Bowl halftime.

Nevertheless, here is an answer for you.

Just as every prophecy relating to the Savior’s birth was fulfilled, so too will every prophecy relating to His Second Coming be fulfilled.

*Christ will come to earth in power and glory. The proud and the wicked will be burned, and there will not be wickedness on earth.

*The Second Coming is near.

*All nations will tremble when the Savior comes. If we are faithful, His power and influence will be with us until He comes.

*The Saints who have died will be resurrected and come forth to meet the Savior. The Saints who are alive on the earth will be gathered to meet Him. He will come to the Mount of Olives, and it will divide. The Jews will recognize their Savior and weep because they persecuted Him. Then those who received the gospel in spirit prison will be resurrected.

*The Savior will put all enemies under His feet.

*No one, not even the angels, knows the hour or the day when the Savior will come.

*The Savior will come in red apparel. His coming will be a time of vengeance upon the wicked and redemption for the righteous.

The scriptures say:
And it shall be said: Who is this that cometh down from God in heaven with dyed garments; yea, from the regions which are not known, clothed in his glorious apparel, traveling in the greatness of his strength?
And he shall say: I am he who spake in righteousness, mighty to save.
And the Lord shall be red in his apparel, and his garments like him that treadeth in the wine-vat.
And so great shall be the glory of his presence that the sun shall hide his face in shame, and the moon shall withhold its light, and the stars shall be hurled from their places.
And his voice shall be heard: I have trodden the wine-press alone, and have brought judgment upon all people; and none were with me;
And I have trampled them in my fury, and I did tread upon them in mine anger, and their blood have I sprinkled upon my garments, and stained all my raiment; for this was the day of vengeance which was in my heart.
And now the year of my redeemed is come; and they shall mention the loving kindness of their Lord, and all that he has bestowed upon them according to his goodness, and according to his loving kindness, forever and ever.
In all their afflictions he was afflicted. And the angel of his presence saved them; and in his love, and in his pity, he redeemed them, and bore them, and carried them all the days of old.

Yep, bigger and better than a Super Bowl show to be sure.

Dear Brother/Sister

What you are saying seems logical and true, but are you going through the events around you and prophesies of Jesus, do you know in which part of the world he will be coming and for what purpose.

These are the events, headlines, advertisement of his coming done by the all mighty God.
When Jesus comes every body will know, he will visit the earth to destroy the anti-Christ

before his coming, the torture and oppression in this world will be at its highest and he will come and bring peace to this world.

read revelations and you'll see.

I'm praying for you and your pimped out comment, that's borderline blasphemy. comparing JESUS the son of GOD to a pimp and even suggesting that he would have to commercialize himself to get through to his children.

When he does return it will be too late for non-believers anyway and all true believers will be with him in heaven anyway.

GOD is LOVE and JESUS SAVES

P.S. he doesn't need to hip, cool or pimped out for us to believe
