with the clouds" means invisibility?

If the second coming of Jesus is invisible, then in what sense will "every eye" see Him?

this is another flawed teaching of the Witnesses.....There are many and thank you for pointing them out, Christians need to know what they really teach.

Bill as I have addressed you privately, you are blocked for calling me names, which you are doing now. If you can not make a better argument you get childish. all can see what is going on, so get over me and move on, I am a married lady anyway, and I think you have the aroma of cabbage.

For those who are Watching form the sidelines, Bill has been upset since I outed him as the Witness Troll Auchtung-Heiss. blew his cover.

(Revelation 1:5-7) Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness,”...Look! He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him

The apostle Paul plainly implied that the enemies of Christianity would NOT be able to "see" Christ.

(1 Timothy 6:13-16) I give you orders that you observe the commandment...until the manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ. ...who dwells in unapproachable light, whom not one of men has seen or can see.

(Ephesians 1:18) ...the eyes of your heart having been enlightened...

(2 Corinthians 3:16) When there is a turning to Jehovah, the veil is taken away.

The fact that Jesus comes "in the clouds" reminds one of the presence of the sun behind clouds. Anyone can "see" that the sun has risen, even if the sun's outline is not plainly delineated. The effects of the sun can be seen, and any person can discern the other clues indicating the literal presence of the sun above the horizon.

The bible describes something similar with regard to the personal qualities of the Creator.

(Romans 1:19-20) What may be known about God is manifest among them, for God made it manifest to them. For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made

Thus, it seems rather obvious that only those actually LOOKING for the Christ will discern his presence.

Incidentally, "the Watchtower Society" seems to imply one of the many corporate and legal entities used by Jehovah's Witnesses. Those corporate and legal entities do not actually do any teaching, but the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses actually does, using the bible as its only authority.

The apostle Paul wrote that the resurrected Jesus "dwells in unapproachable light, whom not one of men has seen or can see." (1Ti 6:14-16) That is why Jesus could tell his disciples that "a little longer and the world will behold me no more." (John 14:19) The world in general would not behold him because after his resurrection to life as a spirit creature. (1Pe 3:18)

So what does it mean when the Bible speaks of Jesus being seen "coming in clouds with great power and glory" and every eye will see him? (Mr 13:26; Re 1:7)

Well, keeping in mind the first paragraph, the use of CLOUDS in connection with other divine manifestations suggests invisibility rather than visibility. So, too, ‘seeing’ can refer to FIGURATIVE sight, perception with the mind and heart. (Isa 44:18; Jer 5:21; Eze 12:2, 3; Mt 13:13-16; Eph 1:17, 18) To deny this would be to deny that the opposite of sight, namely, blindness, could be used in a figurative or spiritual, rather than literal, sense. Yet Jesus clearly used both sight and blindness in such a figurative or spiritual sense. (Joh 9:39-41; Re 3:14-18; compare also 2Co 4:4; 2Pe 1:9.) Job, being spoken to by Jehovah "out of the windstorm" (likely accompanied by clouds), afterward said: "In heresay I have heard about you, but now my own eye does see you." (Job 38:1; 42:5) This, too, must have been by perception of mind and heart rather than the literal eye, in view of the clear Scriptural teaching that "no man has seen God at any time."—Joh 1:18; 5:37; 6:46; 1Jo 4:12.

Edit:

Regardless of what the uninformed may parrot, simple examination of the definitions alone will show that Jehovah's Witnesses are NOT a cult! Evidentally, the information contained within the following link needs to be posted on every topic concerning JWs:

Rev 1:7 " BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen" NASB.

Mat 24:29 "But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken" NASB.
What do you think would darken the SUN?Answer: A light greater than it.

Mat 24:30 "And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory" NASB.
Note: "all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING IN THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY"

Good questions deserve scripture for an answer.

Since Jesus’ resurrection AND ascension to heaven, he “dwells in unapproachable light.” 1 Tim 6. No man has actually seen the glorified Jesus after that. When he revealed himself to the PERSECUTOR Saul, the overpowering light BLINDED Saul. So do you expect a wicked person to literally SEE Jesus? No, because even if they attempt to, they will be blinded. Only the pure in heart can SEE God and His son Jesus who is a reflection of his Father(Mat 5)

Jesus said the world will behold me no more.

Paul said that since Jesus became immortal, no man can see him

The angels told the disciples after Jesus had disappeard.

In this manner Jesus would return.

Jesus' would be seen by the signs of the end.

That is why he said 'don' go looking for him.

Surely a bible reader as yourself already knew this.

that is why Jesus is right now destroying all false religion and you even realize that is happening (only see CNN), you don´t realize that while you are wasting time here all the influence that religion have in politics are going down and is right now getting remove but people are waiting for a Jesus in a white horse and white horse doesn´t exist in heaven and Jesus is an spiritual being that can´t be seen with "physical eyes" but spiritual eyes.

Keep watching heaven waiting for a white horse and you will see nothing but clouds, while the spiritual presence of Jesus is mashing all goverments and false religions.

Glad to hear from you "nini" see you have another negative ???, and your friend "the lamb" is right there with her negative answer.

The Revelation account states that “every eye will see him, and those who pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief because of him.” This means that opposers on earth will discern in the destruction that Jesus rains down on them that he has come with power and great glory as Jehovah’s Executioner. Why are these enemies described as “those who pierced him”? It is because their attitude of bitterness toward Jehovah’s servants today is like that of Jesus’ persecutors. They will, indeed, ‘beat themselves bitterly in grief because of him.’

Everone, Don't let "unsilencedlamb" get to you, she is disfellowshipped or for some reason after years of being a "JW" she left the organization & all that comes out of her mouth now is negative disgusting sayings about the Witnesses. She has me blocked, so that I cannot answer her questions, she does not like truthful answers.

AGAIN, no quick fixes on this forum. You require a home bible study and not asking the public for quick answers on a public forum full of improper responses.

Get off this forum you know, and get your own personal study going so that even you can gain accurate knowledge. Asking about such things here will render you innappropriate, worldly responses.

The other thing though that I do have a problem with within the Society however, is all the racism. I can never get an honest response. I know all people are not perfect, but the racism within the organization kills me. There is a great deal of hypocrisy, but the Bible truths will never change. The people however, are another typical racism story.

Blah..

Don't know or care what the Watchtower are saying. There is nothing invisible about the visible return of Jesus.

Rev 1:7 is announcing the return of Jesus to earth. Jesus' second coming will be visible and victorious. All people will see Him arrive and they will know it is Jesus. When He comes, He will conquer evil and judge all people according to their deeds.

Thanks, CharBurker for telling it like it is. This questioner has deep-seeded issues that have nothing to do with "her wanting to know the truth".

I have experienced racism too in the entire organization and that includes people from the headquarters, white males, not living up to Bible or Godly standards when you come to them for help.

A lot of it is a farce, but the Truthful Bible Principles and those of Godly Principles will always be uplifting and never change. Great point CharBurker. The questioner is delusional in a sense, and I've seen her other posts. I have my Q & A on block too for as you can see she's vindictive and ready to start trouble with anyone's posts. Glad at least that Yahoo Answer Forums has that block in place and it's been needed for so long. MANY others use the block for trolls such as her.

I hope we can chat later...thanks.
